World Wide Technology was co-founded by David Steward and Jim Kavanaugh in July 1990 as a reseller of technology equipment. [7]
In 1994, WWT entered into a partnership with Cisco Systems to resell hardware and software. [8] WWT also established partnerships with technology companies including Dell, [9] Hewlett Packard Enterprise, [10] Intel, [11] Microsoft, [12] NetApp, [13] F5, [14] Tanium [15] and VMware. [16]

In 1999, Telcobuy.com, LLC, was founded as a separate company, owned by WWT, Steward and Kavanaugh. [19] Telcobuy planned an initial public offering of about $100 million, but as the dot-com bubble burst, the plan was withdrawn in the early 2000s recession. In January 2003, it was merged back into WWT under a holding company. [20]
WWT created its first large-scale integration lab in St. Louis to increase capacity for secure system configuration. [21] Additional integration labs were established in Europe and Asia, with locations in Amsterdam and Singapore opening in 2015, [22] and Mumbai in 2019. [23]

LLC, a nearly $20 billion provider of technology products and services for large businesses and government entities, said its acquisition of Toronto-based Softchoice Corp. "broadens" its client base, and gives its customers " access to a more comprehensive portfolio of software, cloud, cybersecurity and AI solutions." The deal was originally announced in late December.
