"Close to You" is a song by English reggae singer Maxi Priest. It was released in 1990 as the lead single from his fifth album Bonafide (1990). "Close to You" reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100, number two on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, and number seven on the UK Singles Chart.
"Big Time" is a song by Italian Eurodance project Whigfield, which was performed by Danish-born singer Sannie Charlotte Carlson. It was written by Annerley Gordon, Alfredo Larry Pignagnoli, Davide Riva and Paul Sears, and produced by Pignagnoli and Riva. The song was released in July 1995, by X-Energy Records as the fifth single from her debut album, Whigfield (1995). It peaked at number 21 in the UK, giving her another big hit in that country. For the British market the song was released as a double A-side single together with "Last Christmas", a cover of the English duo Wham!. In other countries, "Big Time" peaked within the top 10 in Canada and was a top 20 hit in Denmark, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain.
"Inside Out" is a song recorded by German Eurodance band Culture Beat, released in November 1995 as the first single from their third studio album, Inside Out (1995). As for other Culture Beat singles, a CD maxi entirely composed of remixes was added among the available media a short time after. The song was a hit in most of the European countries where it was released, and peaked at number five in Germany, its highest position in the various charts. Outside Europe, it peaked at number two on the RPM dance music chart in Canada and number 15 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the US.
"I Love to Love" is a song recorded by German Eurodance group La Bouche, released in November 1995 as the fourth and last single of their debut album, Sweet Dreams (1995). The song achieved a minor success in comparison with "Be My Lover" and "Sweet Dreams", but made it to number five in Hungary and number six in Australia. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 37 in February 1996. In Canada, "I Love to Love" peaked at number two on the RPM Dance/Urban chart. The CD maxi's cover features also the title of the fourth track, a cover of "Forget Me Nots", another song taken from the same album. "I Love to Love" earned a gold record in Australia, with a sale of 35,000 singles.
"Generation of Love" is a song recorded by German band Masterboy. It was released in June 1995 and is taken from their album of the same name. The female vocals are performed by Trixi Delgado. The song is one of the band's most successful singles in terms of peak positions on the charts. It achieved success in many European countries, particularly in Finland, where it peaked at number 6 and in France, where it peaked at number 8 and stayed on the chart (top-50) for 13 weeks. The song was also a hit in Austria and in Belgium (Wallonia), where it remained ranked in the top-40 for 18 weeks. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Generation of Love" reached number 35. In 2006, it was re-released in a remixed version with Freedom Williams and Linda Rocco in featuring, but was much less successful. This version is included on Masterboy's 2006 studio album US-Album. The artwork of the remixes used the same picture, but with different colours.
"Think About the Way" is a song by British-based rapper Ice MC, released in March 1994 as the second single from his third album, Ice'n'Green (1994), on which it appears in four versions, and his tenth single overall. It was produced by Roberto Zanetti, also known as Robyx, and was written by Zanetti and Ice MC, though many releases credit Zanetti as the sole writer. The female vocals were performed by Italian singer Alexia, though she was also uncredited. The song was very successful in Europe, reaching the top 5 in Belgium and Italy, and the top 15 in Denmark, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland, Sweden and the Netherlands. In the UK and Ireland, it was released under the title "Think About the Way ", which it refers to the first words of the first verse. Its music video was directed by Giacomo De Simone.
"Club Bizarre" is a song recorded by German dance music act U96, released in February 1995 as the second single from the album of the same name (1995). It was a hit in several countries, although it was not as successful as the act's previous single, "Love Religion", but became a top twenty hit in the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the single peaked at number 28 in April 1995. It features uncredited vocals by Skadi Lange.
"There Is a Star" is a song recorded by German Eurodance act Pharao, released in September 1994 as the second single from their debut album, Pharao (1994). Commercially the song was presented with the slogan, "Wise men follow stars...". It scored chart success in Finland, where it peaked at number three, and in Germany, where it peaked at number eight. In Canada, the single reached number seven on the RPM Dance/Urban chart. A music video was also produced to promote the single, directed by Nigel Simpkiss.
"Let the Dream Come True" is a song by Swiss Eurodance artist DJ BoBo, released in September 1994 as the lead single from his second album, There Is a Party (1994). It achieved success on the charts in Europe, reaching number-one in Finland and Switzerland, number four in Germany and number six in Austria. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song peaked at number nine in November 1994. Outside Europe, it reached number 22 in Israel, number 28 on the RPM Dance/Urban chart in Canada and number 49 in Australia. The female singer is American singer Lori Glori. The single was cetified Gold in Germany.
"Show Me Colours" is a song recorded by German band Masterboy. It was released in October 1996, as the second single from their album, Colours. The song reached number 10 in Czech Republic and Finland. It was also a top 30 hit in Austria and Germany. On the Eurochart Hot 100, "Show Me Colours" peaked at number 75.
"Is It Love" is a song by Dutch Eurodance group Twenty 4 Seven, released in November 1993, as the fourth single from their second studio album, Slave To The Music (1993). It was the first up-tempo song written by Ruud van Rijen and scored success on the charts in Europe, peaking at number five in Germany. The chorus is sung by Nancy Coolen while the rap parts are performed by Stay-C. Maria Jimenez from Music & Media described "Is It Love" as a "sugar-coated highly commercial track".
"Oh, Baby All" is a 1995 song recorded by Swedish band Sonic Dream Collective, released as the second single from their album, Gravity (1995). Written by lead vocalist Linn Engström, it was very successful on the singles chart in Sweden, peaking at number two, with a total of 12 weeks within the chart. But it topped the Swedish national radio P3 Tracks chart and was a radio hit in Scandinavia in the summer of '95. It also reached the singles charts in Germany and the UK, peaking at number 99 and 89. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 73 in September 1995. An accompanying music video, was made for the song, partly in black-and-white.
"I Show You Secrets" is a song by German Eurodance act Pharao, which consists of Indian/German singer Kyra Pharao and American rapper Deon Blue. It was released in 1994 as the first single from their debut album, Pharao (1994), and was well received among music critics, hitting success in many European countries. The song was a top 10 hit in Austria, Finland, Germany, Israel and Switzerland. Its music video was directed by John Clayton and A-listed on Germany's VIVA.
"Baby Boy" is a song recorded by Danish Eurodance act and sisters Me & My, released in December 1995 as the second single from their eponymous album (1995). Co-written by the Georgi sisters, it enjoyed moderate success in many European countries, reaching number-one in both Denmark and Hungary. Additionally, it peaked at number three in Finland, number 10 in Belgium and number 30 in Austria. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number 60 in March 1996. Pan-European magazine Music & Media described it as "equally up-tempo and infectious" as their first single, "Dub-I-Dub". In 2007, the song was included on the act's best of album, The Ultimate Collection.
"I'll Follow the Sun" is a song by German Eurodance group Mr. President, released in March 1995 as the second single from their first album, Up'n Away - The Album (1995). It was the first single to receive participation from rapper Delroy "Layzee Dee" Rennalls, after George "Sir Prophet" Jones left the group. A moderate success on the charts in Europe, it peaked at number 15 in Finland, number 16 in Switzerland, number 18 in Austria and number 23 in Germany. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number 58 in March 1995.
"Take Control" is a 1993 song by Swiss artist DJ BoBo, taken from his first album, Dance With Me (1993). It features vocals by singer Christiane Lupp and was a top 10 hit in Austria and Switzerland. Additionally, it peaked within the top 20 in Finland, Germany and the Netherlands. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number 21. Outside Europe, it was very successful in Israel, peaking at number two. It sold to gold in Germany.
"Pain" is a Eurodance song by German band Fun Factory, released in November 1994 as the fourth and last single from their debut-album, NonStop (1994). It peaked at number eight in Finland, number 24 in Germany and number 25 in Austria and Sweden. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 56 in March 1995. Outside Europe, it peaked at number 30 in Israel. The CD single also featured the music video of the band's previous hit single, "Take Your Chance".
"Night in Motion" is a song recorded by German act U96, released in 1993 as the second single from their second album, Replugged (1993). It was successful on the charts in Europe, peaking within the top 10 in Austria, Finland, Germany, Lithuania and Sweden. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it reached number 25 in October 1993. "A Night to Remember" is a song recorded by German dance act U96, released in 1996 as the second single from their fourth album, Heaven (1996). It was a top 20 hit in Austria and Finland, and a top 30 hit in Germany. On the Eurochart Hot 100, the song reached number 66 in August 1996.
"Magic Carpet Ride" is a song by British duo Mighty Dub Katz, which consisted of DJ, musician and record producer Norman Cook and his former flatmate Gareth Hansome. It was first released in 1995 and is their biggest hit to date, peaking within the top 10 in Germany, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland. The song contains a sample of Chakachas' recording "Yo Soy Cubano" from 1970, and Sandee's recording "Notice Me" from 1988. The male vocals are based on Laid Back's "White Horse". A black-and-white music video was shot to accompany the song.
