Worship Central is a British Christian music praise and worship charity from Birmingham, United Kingdom, founded at Holy Trinity Brompton in 2006 by Tim Hughes and Al Gordon. [1] The charity exists to train worship pastors for churches as well as writing and producing new music for churches.

Background

The charity was founded in 2006 out of London, United Kingdom, where they were located at Holy Trinity Brompton, while now they are based at Gas Street Church. Notable staff members and associate songwriters include Tim Hughes, Ben Cantelon, Al Gordon and Luke Hellebronth.

History

Worship Central released their first album, Lifting High, [2] in 2009, then Spirit Break Out, [3] in 2011, Counting On Your Name, also in 2011, Let It Be Known [4] in 2012, Set Apart in 2014, Mercy Road [5] in 2017 and Stir A Passion in 2018.

Their albums have been recorded by the labels Integrity Music and Capitol Records. Let It Be Known reached number 45 in the UK Official Album Charts and lasted a record five weeks at number 1 at the Official Christian And Gospel Chart [6] [7] [8]

Tim Hughes Musical artist

Timothy David Llewelyn Hughes is a British worship leader, singer, songwriter, and Anglican priest. Formerly the director of worship at Holy Trinity Brompton, a large Anglican church in central London, he has since been ordained as a minister in the Church of England and appointed Vicar of St Luke's, Gas Street Birmingham. He leads Worship Central, an international worship training and resource centre. Hughes has written a number of songs that are sung worldwide, including the Dove Award-winning "Here I Am to Worship", "Happy Day", "Beautiful One", "Jesus Saves", "At Your Name", and "The Way".

MercyMe is an American contemporary Christian music band founded in Edmond, Oklahoma. The band consists of lead vocalist Bart Millard, percussionist Robby Shaffer, bassist Nathan Cochran and guitarists Michael Scheuchzer and Barry Graul.

Graham Kendrick Musical artist

Graham Kendrick is a prolific English Christian singer, songwriter and worship leader. He is the son of Baptist pastor, M. D. Kendrick and grew up in Laindon, Essex and Putney. He now lives in Tunbridge Wells and is a member of Holy Trinity with Christ Church, Tunbridge Wells. He was a member of Ichthus Christian Fellowship. The 48th Annual GMA Dove Awards presentation ceremony was held on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Allen Arena located in Nashville, Tennessee. The ceremony recognized the accomplishments of musicians and other figures within the Christian music industry for the year 2017. The ceremony was produced by the Trinity Broadcasting Network and was hosted by female singers Kari Jobe and Tasha Cobbs Leonard. The awards show was broadcast on the Trinity Broadcasting Network on October 22, 2017.
