Southeast Asian Games Biennial multi-sport event in Southeast Asia

The Southeast Asian Games, also known as the SEA Games (SEAG), is a biennial multi-sport event involving participants from the current 11 countries of Southeast Asia. The games are under the regulation of the Southeast Asian Games Federation with supervision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA).

1993 Southeast Asian Games

The 1993 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 17th Southeast Asian Games, was a multi-sport event held in Singapore from 12 to 20 June 1993 with 29 sports featured in this edition. The games were opened by Wee Kim Wee, the President of Singapore. This was the third time Singapore hosted the games, after 1983 and 1973 competition. The final medal tally was led by Indonesia, followed by Thailand, the Philippines and host Singapore.

2013 Southeast Asian Games

The 2013 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 27th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event took place in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar. Around 4730 athletes from 11 participating nations competed at the games, which featured 460 events in 34 sports. The games were held from 11 to 22 December 2013.

2015 Southeast Asian Games

The 2015 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 28th Southeast Asian Games, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event hosted by the city-state of Singapore. It was the fourth time the country hosted the games. Singapore previously also hosted the games in 1973, 1983 and 1993 edition.

Field hockey at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games will be held in Sengkang Hockey Stadium, Singapore from 6 to 13 June 2015. Medals will be awarded in one disciplines for both men and women competitions.

Philippines at the 2015 Southeast Asian Games Sporting event delegation

Ng Shin Yii was a Malaysian wushu athlete. She retired at age 27 from international wushu after competing at the World Taijiquan Championships in Poland. She competed in the Taijiquan and Taijijian taolu events. Up until her retirement in 2016, she had represented Malaysia in every World Wushu Championships since 2009, winning one silver and one bronze in the 2009 and 2015 Championships respectively. She competed in the first two World Taijiquan Championships in Dujiangyan and Warsaw achieving three silver medals. At the age of 17, she won a bronze medal at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar.

Wushu at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games

The wushu competition at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines was held at the World Trade Center in Pasay, Metro Manila from 1 to 3 December 2019.

2015 Southeast Asian Games opening ceremony

The opening ceremony of the 2015 Southeast Asian Games was held on Friday, 5 June 2015, beginning at 20:15 SST (UTC+8) at the National Stadium in Singapore, the first major opening ceremony for a sporting event in the new venue.
