Facinet Bangoura is a Guinean former swimmer, who specialized in breasts stroke events. Bangoura competed only in the men's 100 m breaststroke at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. He received a Universality place from FINA, in an entry time of 1:10.00. He challenged six other swimmers in heat two, including two-time Olympians Juan José Madrigal of Costa Rica and Jean Luc Razakarivony of Madagascar. Before the start of his heat, Bangoura immediately jumped into the pool first, and was disqualified for breaking a no false-start rule on the first day of preliminaries.
Antonio Manuel Leon Candia is a Paraguayan former swimmer, who specialized in breaststroke events. During his sporting career, he represented Paraguay, as an eighteen-year-old, at the 2000 Summer Olympics, and in all four editions of the FINA World Championships since 2001. Leon also trained for Deportivo de Puerto Sajonia, under his longtime coach and mentor Roberto Colmán.

Chan failed to advance into the semifinals, as he placed sixty-third overall on the first day of prelims.

She participated in heat one against three other swimmers Mariam Pauline Keita of Mali, 14-year-old Doli Akhter of Bangladesh, and Pamela Girimbabazi of Rwanda. With one swimmer casting out of the race for a no false-start rule (Akhter), and the other for an illegal turn (Girimbabazi), Ouhoumoudou raced to the second seed in a time of 1:42.39, the slowest ever in the heats. Ouhoumoudou failed to advance into the semifinals, as she placed forty-first overall in the prelims.
Hem Raksmey is a Cambodian former swimmer, who specialized in sprint freestyle and breaststroke events. She represented Cambodia in two editions of the Olympic Games, and also held numerous age group records in all strokes. She also shared a sibling tandem together with her brother Hem Kiry, when they both competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics.
