Gerhard Weikum is a German computer scientist and Research Director at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Saarbrücken, Germany, where he is leading the databases and information systems department. His current research interests include transactional and distributed systems, self-tuning database systems, data and text integration, and the automatic construction of knowledge bases. He is one of the creators of the YAGO knowledge base. He is also the Dean of the International Max Planck Research School for Computer Science (IMPRS-CS).

Her work is among the first to identify that graph complexity relies only on the small size of the query input and output rather than the size of the whole data graph, which could be a web scale, such as in social media networks. Her recent research focuses on algorithms, indexes, and systems in large scale graphs and their applications especially in social network analysis.

Bernadette Bouchon-Meunier is a retired French computer scientist specializing in fuzzy logic. She is a director of research, emeritus, for the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), the former head of the Department of Databases and Machine Learning (DAPA) in LIP6, a computer science laboratory operated jointly by CNRS and Pierre and Marie Curie University, editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems, and a past president of the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.
Min Dong is a Chinese-Canadian electrical engineer whose research involves signal processing, including resource balancing in cloud computing and smart grids, and pilot symbol assisted wireless communications in which a special "pilot" symbol is periodically transmitted to recalibrate communications channels. She is a professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer and Software Engineering at Ontario Tech University.
