Xtra Bass is a free week-long drum and bass tour of the UK hosted by the BBC's digital radio station BBC Radio 1Xtra. 2007 is the fifth year of the tour and features appearances by well established drum and bass djs such as DJ Bailey, L Double, Fabio & Grooverider and Crissy Criss among others.

The tour covers 7 cities in 7 days, and the itinerary for 2007 is as follows:

Panda is a Dutch electronic music artist living in Amsterdam, specializing in drum and bass. He gained an interest in electronic music in his teenage years. He was inspired to write electronic music after seeing a live performance by an electronic music act in his birthplace Nijmegen. Panda's tracks have been aired on all premier drum & bass radio stations including BBC Radio 1 and many major drum and bass performers have played Panda's music in clubs.

Chase & Status English music duo

Chase & Status are an English electronic music duo composed of Saul Milton (Chase) and Will Kennard (Status). In addition, Andy Gangadeen is the drummer when the band performs live. MC Rage formerly assisted the group when they perform, but left in July 2021 to focus on solo ventures. The duo are from London, and formed in 2003 after meeting at university in Manchester. The duo have since released five studio albums as well as collaborating with major artists such as Plan B, CeeLo Green, Rihanna, Example, and Tinie Tempah. Chris Williamson, better known by his stage name Crissy Criss, is a British DJ, radio producer and presenter, who was part of the BBC Radio network BBC Radio 1Xtra. He has also worked under the moniker Dead Exit.

Bassline is a music genre related to UK garage that originated in Yorkshire and the Midlands in the early 2000s. Stylistically it comprises a four-to-the-floor rhythm normally at around 135–142 beats per minute and a strong emphasis on bass, similar to that of its precursor speed garage, with chopped up vocal samples and a pop music aesthetic.

Nerm is a DJ, broadcaster and fixer in music and film. Born in Birmingham, as a child he edited together cut up cassette tapes to make his first "mixes". At age 16 he started DJing and made the transition from cassette to vinyl. His first residency was at the Ministry of Sound in Birmingham.

KOAN Sound is an English electronic music production duo from Bristol, England. The duo consists of Will Weeks and Jim Bastow. The name is taken from the word kōan. A track from the Max Out EP is titled "One Hand Clap" – a reference to a well-known kōan with the implied answer of silence. They initially gained recognition as dubstep producers, with earlier popular tracks including "Akira". Some of their many types of music includes glitch hop, neurohop, and Drum & Bass. The duo have since released music on various labels including Inspected Records and Owsla, and have worked with a number of other artists, including producer Asa and singer Ed Sheeran.

Compa Musical artist

William Brown, better known as Compa is a British electronic musician and DJ from Clitheroe, Lancashire, who began releasing music in 2011. Compa first rose to prominence following his self-released remix of Mavado's Dem A Talk in 2012, followed by his signing to Mala's label Deep Medi Musik the same year, although he did not release his debut record for the label until 2013. In a review of the record, Boomkat described Compa as "Keeper of Dubstep's Darkest Light"
