Yam Haus is an American indie pop-rock band with member Lars Pruitt (vocals), Jake Felstow (drums), and Zach Beinlich (bass). The band is currently signed to Big Loud Rock under Big Loud Records.
Yam Haus was formed in 2017 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lars, Seth, and Zach all met at high school in Hudson, Wisconsin, and later met Jake in Minneapolis while he was attending college. [1] The band had started as a daily YouTube vlog to start building a fanbase. [2] The band's name “Yam Haus” stands for “You Are Me." Since their formation, Yam Haus have found themselves selling out shows across the Midwest, and they have been included on lineups such as First Avenue's "Best New Bands" of 2018; and the 2019 Cities 97.1 KTCZ. [2] Basilica Block Party. In 2023, the band performed at TC Summerfest, where they opened for The Killers and Death Cab for Cutie [3]
Their first single, "West Coast," was released April 13, 2018 as a precursor to their debut album, Stargazer. [4] In the winter of 2019 the quartet released their EP called Stargazer Sessions, which features acoustic versions of a number of songs from their debut album and "Spoke Too Soon". [5] [6] [7]
In preparation for their 2020 summer headlining tour the group released their second EP, The Band Is Gonna Make It, featuring their top track, "The Thrill" which was filmed at the popular theme park Valleyfair. The Band Is Gonna Make It Tour has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2]
In the winter of 2020 Yam Haus released their first Christmas EP, A Very Yam Haus Christmas, featuring the track "Auld Lang Syne". [8] The song gained recognition as the video featured footage, filmed by Jay Christiansen, [9] [10] from the George Floyd protests in Minneapolis. [11] [12]
In 2022, Yam Haus was announced as one of the contestants on the American Song Contest on NBC. The TV program pitted bands representing every state and territory in the nation against each other to find America's top band, with Yam Haus representing Minnesota with the song "Ready to Go". [13]
In the summer of 2022, the band began recording tracks with mixer/producer Tony Hoffer which would become the bands’ next release, Stupid & Famous. [14]
In March 2023, Yam Haus signed with Big Loud Rock, the alternative/rock imprint of Big Loud Records. [15] In the Spring of 2023, the band embarked on a National Tour performing multiple dates with the band Landon Conrath followed by a Fall tour with the band Sawyer.
On August 11, 2023, the band released the final single ‘Shakin’ Yer Hips’ off their EP, Stupid & Famous, which was released on October 6, 2023
"Aegukga", often translated as "The Patriotic Song", is the national anthem of South Korea. It was adopted in 1948, the year the country's government was founded. Its music was composed in the 1930s and arranged most recently in 2018; its lyrics date back to the 1890s. The lyrics of "Aegukga" were originally set to the music of the Scottish song "Auld Lang Syne" before Ahn Eak-tai composed a unique melody specifically for it in 1936. The version set to the melody composed by Ahn Eak-tai was adopted as the national anthem of the Korean exile government, which existed during Korea's occupation by Japan from the early 1910s to the mid-1940s.
"Auld Lang Syne" is a Scottish song. In the English-speaking world, it is traditionally sung to bid farewell to the old year at the stroke of midnight on Hogmanay/New Year's Eve. It is also often heard at funerals, graduations, and as a farewell or ending to other occasions; for instance, many branches of the Scouting movement use it to close jamborees and other functions.
The Fold is an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois, United States. The Fold formed in 2002, and promptly began work on their album This Too Shall Pass for Tooth & Nail Records. They have released four full-length studio albums and three EP's over their career, with a fifth full-length slated for release on September 9, 2022, titled Stereo Fire. Career highlights include surpassing 130 million views on their YouTube channel and the nomination of Secrets Keep You Sick for a Grammy in the category of "Best Recording Package". Their single "Gravity" from the album This Too Shall Pass reached No. 1 on the CHR Rock charts. The band has more recently written themed music for sports and television, most notably the theme songs for Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, the Chicago Cubs, and all NFL teams.
U.K. Subs are an English punk rock band, among the earliest in the first wave of British punk. Formed in 1976, the mainstay of the band has been vocalist Charlie Harper, originally a singer in Britain's R&B scene. One of the first hardcore punk bands, elements of rhythm and blues music - including harmonica - also remained an occasional element of their work.
"Same Old Lang Syne" is a song written and recorded by Dan Fogelberg and released as a single in 1980. It was included on his 1981 album The Innocent Age. The song is an autobiographical narrative ballad told in the first person and tells the story of two long-ago romantic interests meeting by chance in a grocery store on Christmas Eve. The song peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and is now frequently played during the holiday season and alongside traditional Christmas songs.

Crackers is a studio/compilation album by the British rock band Slade. It was released on 18 November 1985 and reached No. 34 in the UK charts. It was certified Gold by the BPI that same month. The album was produced by bassist Jim Lea except for "All Join Hands", "Do You Believe in Miracles", "My Oh My" and "Run Runaway", which were all produced by John Punter. The album contained a mix of the band's previous hits, some re-recorded songs and a selection of covers.
Helen McCookerybook is a British musician and singer-songwriter, who was the bass player and co-singer with the Chefs, during the late 1970s and early 1980s. She went on to form Helen and the Horns in the mid 80s. Both bands were admired by John Peel, recording six BBC Radio 1 sessions between them. After a long break from her music career, Helen McCookerybook started again as a solo artist in 2005. She regularly plays live gigs, releases recordings, and promotes occasional revivals of Helen and the Horns.
Sixx:A.M. was an American hard rock band from Los Angeles, formed in 2007 by Nikki Sixx, DJ Ashba, and James Michael, and was a side project of Sixx, who was also at the time bass guitarist for Mötley Crüe. The group is best known for their songs "Life Is Beautiful" and "Lies of the Beautiful People". The name Sixx:A.M. is a combination of all of the members' last names.
A Place to Bury Strangers are an American rock band formed in 2002, in New York City. The trio is currently composed of Oliver Ackermann, John Fedowitz and Sandra Fedowitz (drums). Commonly known by the initials APTBS, the band plays a heavy, atmospheric Wall of Sound–influenced blend of noise rock, shoegaze and space rock.
"2000 Miles" is a song by British-American rock band Pretenders. Written by lead vocalist Chrissie Hynde and produced by Chris Thomas, it was released on 18 November 1983 as the second single from their third studio album, Learning to Crawl (1984). Jamestown Story is an American acoustic-based music project created by Dane Schmidt, a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Schmidt released his first album under the name And Then I Turned Seven in late 2003 and has since released 7 albums as well as singles and EP's as Jamestown Story. As an A&R, Schmidt signed songwriters Jordan Schmidt, Zach Kale, along with artists Gabby Barrett, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Band Camino, Kameron Marlowe, and Adam Doleac. He resides in Nashville, TN.
Punk Rawk Christmas is a Christmas compilation studio album by American rock band MxPx released on December 1, 2009. The album contains 10 tracks originally recorded and released each year from 1998 to 2008 and sent to MxPx's fan club members as CD singles and later as digital downloads. The album contains some previously released holiday music as well as four previously unreleased tracks that were collected following fan requests to release the material in a collection.

Cassadee Blake Pope is an American pop and country singer. She was the lead vocalist and songwriter of the pop punk band Hey Monday, with whom she released one studio album and two EPs. "Auld Lang Syne (The New Year's Anthem)" is a song by American singer-songwriter Mariah Carey from her second Christmas album/thirteenth studio album, Merry Christmas II You (2010). The second single from the album, an extended play consisting of nine remixes was released by Island on December 14, 2010. Using the Robert Burns poem "Auld Lang Syne," Carey along with Randy Jackson and Johnny "Sev" Severin (of RedOne) composed a new arrangement, added lyrics and re-titled it. The track garnered a negative response from critics, all of whom disliked how Carey had changed the poem into a house song. An accompanying music video was released featuring a pregnant Carey singing in front of a background of exploding fireworks. "Auld Lang Syne (The New Year's Anthem)" charted on the lower regions of the South Korean international singles charts and at number nine on the US Holiday Digital Songs chart.

Hard Skool is a single and the fourth extended play by the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses. The single was released on September 24, 2021, with the EP following on January 28, 2022. The EP consists of two singles and two live tracks, and is their first EP release with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan since they rejoined the band in 2016.
