The Yamaha RX-K 135 is a two-stroke engine motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. in and for Southeast Asia. It was also known as RX-King in Indonesia, while it was sold as the RX-K in Malaysia and Singapore and as the RX-T 135 in the Philippines.
Before the RX-K, there was the RX 125 (1976) and the RX 100. [1] The RX line was originally developed for the Indian market, where it was manufactured by Rajdoot – the RX name signifies "Rajdoot × Yamaha". [2] The original RX-K 135 was released in 1980 as the top model, fitted with a bikini fairing and imported to Indonesia fully built-up. This model has a max power of 17.5 PS (12.9 kW) at 8,750 rpm and 14.8 N⋅m (10.9 lb⋅ft) of torque at 8,000 rpm; it weighed in at 99 kg (218 lb). [3] There was also the similar RX-S (later RX-Special), fitted with a 115 cc engine and also imported CBU. [4] In 1983, the RX-K was updated to become the locally built RX-King.
In Indonesia the RX-King 135, was produced by Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing beginning in 1983. The first RX-King had a new reshaped petrol tank and updated seat; because of the raised handle bars this was nicknamed "Cobra" in Indonesia. [5] The first generation is sought after as they were fitted with an imported, Japanese-made engine (engine codes Y1 and Y2) producing 18.2 PS (13.4 kW) and 15.1 N⋅m (11.1 lb⋅ft) of torque at 8,000 rpm. [1] The engine benefitted from Yamaha Energy Induction System (YEIS ), developed after extensive customer surveys to meet Indonesian buyers' demand for low-down power and good fuel economy. [5]
A locally manufactured engine replaced the imported version after 1991, with the new model being nicknamed the RX-King "Master". [6] Maximum power crept up to 18.5 PS (13.6 kW) at 9,000 rpm. [6] The Master received another light facelift in 1997.
In 2002 the "New RX-King" arrived with the square headlight replaced by a round unit. [5] The rear light was also changed, and the instrumentation was redesigned. Stricter emissions requirements kicked in, and from 2006 the RX-King in Indonesia used a catalytic converter, which allowed it to pass Euro 2 regulations. [6] The appearance was also changed for a final time,
The RX-King had a significant impact on Indonesia's motorcycle market. [1] Now many people are buying the sought-after motorcycle, in particular the RX-King Cobra because it had genuine Yamaha parts from Japan and had a reputation for being very fast despite only having a 135 cc engine. The motorcycle also had a more negative association with snatchers (jambret) and pickpockets as they showed a preference for using the RX-King as a getaway motorcycle. [2] [4] Hit songs have also been written about it, such as RX-King Senggol Dong Boss By Jigo and Numpak RX-King by Sodiq Monata . [7] There spanned four generations of the motorcycle, sold in Indonesia from 1980 to 2009.
The Lotus Elise is a sports car conceived in early 1994 and released in September 1996 by the British manufacturer Lotus Cars. A two-seater roadster with a rear mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout, the Elise has a fibreglass body shell atop its bonded extruded aluminium chassis that provides a rigid platform for the suspension, while keeping weight and production costs to a minimum. The Elise was named after Elisa Artioli, the granddaughter of Romano Artioli who was chairman of Lotus and Bugatti at the time of the car's launch.
The VQ is a family of V6 automobile petrol engines developed by Nissan and produced in displacements varying from 2.0 L to 4.0 L. Designed to replace the VG series, the all-aluminium 4-valve per cylinder DOHC design debuted with Nissan's EGI/ECCS sequential multi-point fuel injection (MPFI) system. Changes from the VG engine include switching to a timing chain from a timing belt, and relocating the water pump from the outside of the engine to inside the timing cover where the pump is driven by the timing chain. Later versions featured various improvements, such as variable valve timing, and NEO-Di designated VQ engines replace MPFI with direct fuel injection.
The RB engine is an oversquare 2.0–3.0 L straight-6 four-stroke gasoline engine from Nissan, originally produced from 1985 to 2004. The RB followed the 1983 VG-series V6 engines to offer a full, modern range in both straight or V layouts. It was part of a new engine family name PLASMA.
The RD350 is a two-stroke motorcycle produced by Yamaha from 1973 to 1975. It evolved directly from the piston port, front drum-braked, five-speed Yamaha 350 cc "R5".
A multi-valve or multivalve engine is one where each cylinder has more than two valves. A multi-valve engine has better breathing, and with more smaller valves may be able to operate at higher revolutions per minute (RPM) than a two-valve engine, delivering more power.
The Toyota Motor Corporation G-family engine is a family of straight-6 piston engines produced from 1979 to 2008. It is notable in that only a single displacement, 2.0 L (1,988 cc), was produced in this series. Initially belt-driven OHC non-interference engines, multivalve DOHC and variable valve timing were added later during the production run. The 1G-GEU was Toyota's first mass produced four-valve twincam engine. A prototype version of the 1G-GEU called the LASREα–X, featuring twin-turbos, variable valve timing and intake as well as variable displacement, was fitted to the Toyota FX-1 show car at the 1983 Tokyo Motor Show. It showcased a number of technologies which were later to become commonplace. This engine was designed around the new LASRE technology for lighter weight – such as sintered hollow camshafts. These engines were used as a lower-displacement alternative to the more upmarket M family and JZ family straight-sixes.
The Circle L is an automobile engine produced by GM Powertrain Poland in Poland. It is a 1.7 L; 102.9 cu in (1,686 cc) inline-four 16-valve turbocharged diesel engine originally designed by Isuzu but now owned by General Motors. The engine was produced in Europe by General Motors for use in the Opel, Vauxhall and Chevrolet vehicles and by Honda for use in the Civic compact car.
The Renault-Nissan MR engine family consists of straight-four 16-valve all-aluminium and water cooled automobile engines with variable valve timing co-developed by Renault and Nissan. Renault calls it the M engine. Other noteworthy features of this engine family include acoustically equal runner lengths and a tumble control valve for the intake manifold, a "silent" timing chain, mirror finished crankshaft and camshaft journals, and offset cylinder placement in an attempt for increased efficiency.

The Honda R engine is an inline-four engine launched in 2006 for the Honda Civic (non-Si). It is fuel injected, has an aluminum-alloy cylinder block and cylinder head, is a SOHC 16-valve design and utilizes Honda's i-VTEC system. The R series engine has a compression ratio of 10.5:1, features a "drive by wire" throttle system which is computer controlled to reduce pumping losses and create a smooth torque curve.
The Toyota UR engine family is a 32-valve dual overhead camshaft V8 piston engine series which was first introduced in 2006, as the UZ series it replaced began phasing out. Production started with the 1UR-FSE engine with D-4S direct injection for the 2007 Lexus LS. The series launched with a die-cast aluminum engine block, aluminum cylinder heads and magnesium cylinder head covers. All UR engines feature variable valve timing for both intake and exhaust cams or Dual VVT-i. Timing chains are used to drive the camshafts. The UR engine has been produced in 4.6, 5.0, and 5.7-liter displacement versions.

The Rajdoot 350 , also known as the RD, was a two-stroke Yamaha motorcycle made in India by Escorts group from 1983 to 1989. RD stands for 'Race derived', in India promoted by Rajdoot in collaboration with Yamaha Japan.

Ranging in displacement from 1.3 L to 1.8 L, it is a modern engine line with dual overhead cams, 16 valves, and multi-point fuel injection (MPFI). The Yamaha MT-07 is a MT series standard motorcycle or UJM with a 689 cc (42.0 cu in) liquid-cooled 4 stroke and 8 valve DOHC parallel-twin cylinder with crossplane crankshaft, manufactured by Yamaha Motor Company from 2014 and US release in 2015. As of 2018, the bike is designated MT-07 in all markets.
The Toyota FA and BA were heavy duty trucks introduced in February 1954. They were facelifted versions of the earlier BX/FX trucks, retaining those trucks Type B and Type F six-cylinder petrol engines. The first letter in the model name indicates the engine family fitted; in 1957 the Type D diesel engine was introduced in a model known as the DA. The second letter indicated the size of the truck, with shorter medium duty versions being coded BC/FC/DC. A second letter "B" was used on bus versions of this chassis. A second generation FA/DA was introduced in 1964 and was built in Japan until 1980, when Hino replaced Toyota's heavier truck lines entirely. The DA, however, was also built in numerous other countries and manufacture continued into the first decade of the 21st century.
