Tai chi, short for T'ai chi ch'üan or Tàijíquán (太極拳), sometimes also known as "Shadowboxing", is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for defense training, health benefits, and meditation. Tai chi has practitioners worldwide.
Tai Reina Babilonia is an American former pair skater. Together with Randy Gardner, she won the 1979 World Figure Skating Championships and five U.S. Figure Skating Championships (1976–1980). The pair qualified for the 1976 and 1980 Winter Olympics.

The IOC restrictions over the ROC name led to the ROC boycott of the Summer Games of 1976 and 1980; the PRC boycotted the Olympic Games prior to the adoption of the resolution. The 1984 Summer Games Chinese Taipei team included 31 men and 7 women, taking part in 40 events in 12 sports. In weightlifting, athletes both from Chinese Taipei and the People's Republic of China won medals.
Wushu, or Kungfu, is a hard and soft and complete martial art, as well as a full-contact sport. It has a long history in reference to Chinese martial arts. It was developed in 1949 in an effort to standardize the practice of traditional Chinese martial arts, yet attempts to structure the various decentralized martial arts traditions date back earlier, when the Central Guoshu Institute was established at Nanking in 1928.

Legend of a Fighter is a 1982 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by Yuen Woo-ping, and produced by Ng See-yuen, who also wrote the screenplay with Leung Lap-yan and Wong Jing. The film stars Bryan Leung, Yasuaki Kurata, Yuen Yat-choh, Philip Ko, Yuen Cheung-yan, Brandy Yuen and Steve Lee. The film is based on the story of Chinese martial artist Huo Yuanjia.
