Jamareuan Macaiah Jones (born July 9, 2003), professionally known as Yhapojj (stylized as YhapoJJ), is an American rapper and songwriter. [2] [3]

Biography

Jones was born July 9, 2003 [4] in Huntsville, Alabama. He began rapping during the COVID-19 lockdowns. In November 2023, he released the EP Evolution of Xur. [5] In December 2023, with Xaviersobased and Nettspend, Jones caused a mini-riot at the Mercury Lounge in Manhattan. [6]

In May 2024, he released P.S. Fuck You. The album only contained one feature, Lil Tony, [7] on the song "Sswerve Geeked". [8]

Artistry

Jones cites Michael Jackson's Thriller as an influence. He is also a fan of The Twilight Saga. His songs have a fictional wolf named Xur. [5] He also uses similar vocal tricks to ILoveMakonnen. [4] In collaboration with FLOOD , he created a playlist of his influences. The playlist includes songs by Gladys Knight & the Pips, The Isley Brothers, Lil' O, Z-Ro, UGK, Miley Cyrus, Lil B, OG Maco and Anquette. [9]
