YI Sheng (born June 13,1972,in Beijing,China) is an official of the Chinese Baseball Association. He coached the China national baseball team in the World Baseball Classics in 2009,2013 and 2017,as well as the 2002 Asia Games,2005 Asian Baseball Championship,2010 Asian Games and 2008 Olympics.
He has also coached for the Beijing Tigers. [1]
The China Baseball League is a professional baseball league under the administration of Chinese Baseball Association,founded in 2002. The league suspended operations in 2012 due to financial troubles after the 2011 season,but returned in 2014. The league closed in 2016. The 2018 season was the final edition of China Baseball League after the establishment of the China National Baseball League. The league restarted in 2023.

The 1994 Asian Games,also known as the XII Asiad and the 12th Asian Games,were held from October 2 to 16,1994,in Hiroshima,Japan. The main theme of this edition was to promote peace and harmony among Asian nations. It was emphasized by the host because the venue was the site of the first atomic bomb attack 49 years earlier. Due to the 1991 Gulf War,Iraq was suspended from the games. The games debuted former republics of the Soviet Union:Kazakhstan,Kyrgyzstan,Tajikistan,Turkmenistan,and Uzbekistan.

In January,1999,Zhang Guozheng was named a member of the National Men's weightlifting team. He ranked fourth at the Sydney Olympic Games in 2000 in the 69 kg class. On October 3,2002,at the Busan Asian Games,Zhang Guozheng took gold in the 69 kg class with a total score of 345 kilograms. In 2004,Zhang Guozeng won the Athens Olympic Games in the 69 kg class champion. On December 3,2006,at the 15th Asian Games,Zhang Guozheng totaled 336 kg for a gold medal with a 152 kg snatch and a 184 kg clean and jerk. Zhang retired after 2008 and now serves as the deputy head coach for the men's weightlifting team.
The Wukesong Arena,also known as the Cadillac Arena for sponsorship purposes,is a multipurpose indoor arena in Beijing. It was originally built for the 2008 Summer Olympics basketball preliminaries and finals. Ground was broken on 29 March 2005 and construction was completed on 11 January 2008.

He served as president of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) and was named Lifetime Honorary President of the Asian Basketball Association. In 2005,the CBA named the championship trophy of China's professional basketball league the Mou Zuoyun Cup. In 2019,he posthumously became the first Chinese inductee to the FIBA Hall of Fame.
