Premise

Yohanna, a young nun, gets drawn into the underworld of child labour in Sumba. It restores her faith and purpose of life. [1]

Cast

Production

The principal photography took place in Sumba, West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia and wrapped in May 2022. [2] Ertanto conceived the idea of Yohanna after being saddened to see child laborers in a visit to Sumba. [3]

Release

Yohanna had its world premiere at the 53rd International Film Festival Rotterdam on 29 January 2024 during the Big Screen section, competing for the VPRO Big Screen Award. [4]

This year marks the inaugural edition of JAFF Market, an initiative aimed at reshaping the Indonesian film industry by fostering networking and collaboration among various sectors.

Tenement is a 2024 Cambodian Khmer-language horror mystery thriller film written and directed by Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea on their directorial debuts. The film also symbolizes Cambodia’s turbulent past by sympathizing with the Khmer people.
