Hindi cinema, popularly known as Bollywood and formerly as Bombay cinema, is the Indian Hindi-language film industry based in Mumbai. The popular term Bollywood, used to refer to mainstream Hindi cinema, is a portmanteau of "Bombay" and "Hollywood". The industry is part of the larger Indian cinema—the world's largest by number of feature films produced, along with the Cinema of South India and other Indian film industries.

Additionally she holds the Guinness World Record for the most studio recordings - singles.
Rangeela (transl. 'Colourful') is a 1995 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film written, directed and produced by Ram Gopal Varma. It stars Urmila Matondkar, Aamir Khan, and Jackie Shroff. The film was A. R. Rahman's debut Hindi film with an original score and soundtrack, as his previous Hindi releases were dubbed versions of his Tamil, Malayalam and Telugu films.
Rahul Dev Burman was an Indian music director. From the 1960s to the 1990s, Burman composed musical scores for 331 films. Burman did major work with his wife, Asha Bhosle, and Kishore Kumar and scored many of the songs that made these singers famous. He also worked extensively and scored approximately 331 songs including some of his most memorable numbers in his career for his sister-in-law, Lata Mangeshkar. Nicknamed Pancham, he was the only son of the composer Sachin Dev Burman.

Adnan Sami Khan is an Indian singer, musician, music composer and pianist. He performs Indian and Western music, including for Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil movies. He has been awarded with Padma Shri for his remarkable contribution in music. His most notable instrument is the piano. He has been credited as "the first musician to have played the santoor and Indian classical music on the piano". A review in the US-based Keyboard magazine described him as the fastest keyboard player in the world and called him the keyboard discovery of the nineties.
Sadhana Shivdasani, known mononymously as Sadhana, was an Indian actress active between 1960 and 1981. Popularly known as "The Mystery Girl" for playing mysterious women in films directed by Raj Khosla, Shivdasani ranked among the highest-paid actresses in the country from mid-1960s to early 1970s.
Dum Maro Dum is an Indian Hindi song from the 1971 Bollywood film Hare Rama Hare Krishna. It was sung by Asha Bhosle and chorus. The song was picturized on Zeenat Aman. It was written by Anand Bakshi and composed by Rahul Dev Burman. It has been remixed and sampled by many other artists.
Alibaba Marjinaa is a 1977 Bollywood film directed by Kedar Kapoor. The film stars Prem Krishen as Alibaba and Tamanna as Marjina.
"Mera Kuch Samaan" is a popular song from the acclaimed 1987 movie Ijaazat, directed by Gulzar, who also wrote the song. The song was composed by R D Burman and sung by Asha Bhosle. In the film, the song takes cue from the poem, Maya leaves behind in letter, for her former lover Mahinder, asking him to return her things. As he read on, he finds they are not physical things she wants back, but memories of times spent together.
"Piya Tu Ab To Aja" is a song from the 1971 Hindi film Caravan. It is considered the quintessential cabaret item number by Helen. The song was sung by Asha Bhosle and R.D. Burman. It was composed by R.D. Burman with lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri. Music scholar Nilanjana Bhattacharjya identified "Piya Tu Ab To Aja" as one of the culturally important Hindi film songs. The song has also been called "the catalyst" that made "Asha [Bhosle] the queen of cabaret numbers".
Kismat (transl. Destiny) is a 1968 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Manmohan Desai, produced by Kamal Mehra and released under the banner of Pride of Asia Films. It stars Biswajeet, Babita, Helen and Kamal Mehra in prominent roles. Other notable actors in the film are Bhagwan Sinha, Murad, M. B. Shetty, Hari Shivdasani, Hiralal, Indra Kumar, Jagdish Raj, Polsan, Prem Kumar, Paul Sharma, Tun Tun and Ullhas.
"Aao Huzoor Tumko" is a song composed by O. P. Nayyar and sung by Asha Bhosle for the 1968 Bollywood film Kismat. The song was pictured on Babita and Biswajit Chatterjee. It is considered to be one of the most memorable songs associated with Babita.
