Yousef Majid (born 8 September 2003) is an English cricketer who plays for Surrey County Cricket Club. He is a left handed batsman and slow left arm orthodox bowler.
Majid attended Cranleigh School and was part of the 2022 Academy intake at Surrey. [1] He made his Second XI debut in 2021. He has also played for Slough CC,Chesham CC,Cranleigh CC. [2]
He was awarded a short term professional contract in the summer of 2022,this came after he took 10 wickets in two Second XI Championship games which included a second innings 6-54 at Radlett against Middlesex. [3] [4] Majid made his List A debut on 2 August 2022 in the 2022 One-Day Cup against Leicestershire at Guildford. [5] He took a wicket with his fifth ball on debut. [6]
On 25 August 2022 Majid was called uo to the England under-19 cricket team for the test series against Sri Lanka under-19s. [7] In December 2022 he was selected for the England U-19s to play Australia in January 2023 under head coach Michael Yardy. [8]
Kumar Chokshanada Sangakkara is a Sri Lankan former professional cricketer who represented Sri Lanka from 2000 to 2015. A former captain in all formats. He was born in Matale,Central Province. In first-class cricket,he played for Nondescripts Cricket Club from 1997–98 to 2013–14 and for Surrey County Cricket Club from 2015 to 2017. Sangakkara is widely regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time. He was a key part of the Sri Lankan squads which won the 2001-02 Asian Test Championship,2002 ICC Champions Trophy and 2014 T20 World Cup.
Christopher Timothy Tremlett is a former English cricketer who played international cricket for England and domestically for Hampshire and Surrey. He was a 6 feet 7 inches (2.01 m) tall fast-medium bowler able to extract bounce on most surfaces. Tremlett started his playing career with Hampshire in 2000 and was awarded his county cap in 2004.
