Yuga Purusha is an Indian 1989 Kannada-language film directed by D. Rajendra Babu. The film stars Ravichandran and Khushbu. It is a remake of Bollywood movie Karz . The music for the film was composed by Hamsalekha. The movie is about reincarnation, where a man is murdered by his newly wedded wife in his past life for the sake of acquiring the man's property. After taking a new birth, the man takes revenge against his past life's wife. Like other Ravichandran movies released during the late 80s period, this was also the musical blockbuster of the year.[ citation needed ]

The song Yaavudo Ee Bombe [1] was used by Hamsalekha in the 1989 Telugu movie Muthyamantha Muddu as Ichcohuko. [2] The same song also used the tune of the line Neenenayya Maayagaaranu from the song Sri Krishna Bandanu [3] in between.

The film was produced by K. Krishna Mohana Rao. It was a remake of Telugu film Allari Mogudu, starring Mohan Babu.

The film has an ensemble cast including Vishnuvardhan, Ambareesh, Devaraj, Jayapradha, Urvashi, Shashikumar, Ramkumar, Vijayalakshmi, Kasthuri and Charulatha. The movie was produced by Bharathi Devi for Chinni Chitra productions. The movie became a blockbuster and ran for more than 25 weeks. The film was remade in Telugu in 2002 as Chandravamsam starring Krishna. The movie was loosely based on the Pandavas's exile episode in the Virata Parva of Mahabharata.

The core plot of the film was loosely based on the 1981 Telugu film Nenu Maa Aavida. The soundtrack and score composition was by Shankar–Ganesh and the film was produced by N. Veeraswamy. D. Rajendra Babu made his Bollywood debut in 1987, with the remake version of this movie, titled as Pyaar Karke Dekho. The song Akkipete Lakkamma was retained in the Hindi version as Haki Petai Lakamma- both sung by S. P. Balasubrahmanyam. The film was also remade in Tamil as Kanna Thorakkanum Saami. Ravichandran along with Bhanupriya and Shruti among others. It is a remake of the Tamil movie Senthamizh Pattu directed by P. Vasu. The movie was dubbed in Tamil as Amma En Deivam and marked Bhanupriya's Kannada debut.

Crazy Star is a 2014 Indian Kannada language romantic thriller film directed, edited and composed by V. Ravichandran and produced by his home studio Eshwari Dreams. Besides himself in the lead, the other ensemble cast includes Priyanka Upendra, Prakash Rai, Bhavana Rao, Raghu Ram, Naveen Krishna, Akul Balaji, Neethu, Ravishankar Gowda among others in the pivotal roles. The film is the remake of 2011 Malayalam action-thriller movie Traffic, which has its narrative in a hyperlink format. The film opened on 14 February 2014, coinciding with Valentine's Day. The film received negative reviews at the box-office.

Simhada Mari (transl. Lionet) is a 1997 Indian Kannada-language action drama film directed by Om Prakash Rao and produced by Ramu. The film stars Shiva Rajkumar, Telugu actor Krishnam Raju and Simran. The flash back portion which is considered to be the heart of this movie went on to be reused in the Telugu movie Aadi. The film's score and soundtrack was scored by Hamsalekha and the cinematography was by T. Janardhan.
