Yugoslavia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 with the song "Halo, halo" performed by Aska. They were selected in national final called Jugovizija 1982.
Jugovizija 1982 took place on 12 March 1982 at the TV Studios in Ljubljana. The presenter of the show was Miša Molk. The winner of the national final was selected by 6 state, and 2 autonomous area juries.

On the night of the contest Yugoslavia performed 14th, following Denmark and preceding Israel. At the close of voting it had received 21 points, placing 14th out of 18 countries. [1] The Yugoslav jury awarded its 12 points to contest winners Germany.
Aska's poor result attracted overwhelming criticism from the Yugoslav media.

The United Kingdom was represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 by Bardo with the song "One Step Further". It was chosen as the British entry through the A Song for Europe national selection process and placed seventh at Eurovision, receiving 76 points.

Yugoslavia participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 1991 with the song "Brazil", written by Zoran Vračrvić and Dragana Šarić. The song was performed by Bebi Dol. The Yugoslav national broadcaster, JRT, organized a national final, JRT izbor za pjesmu Evrovizije – Sarajevo '91, to select its entry for the contest held in Rome, Italy. This was Yugoslavia's penultimate Eurovision entry in the Eurovision Song Contest.

"Video-video" was chosen as the Danish entry at the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix on 13 March. The previous year's Danish entrant Tommy Seebach failed in his bid to represent Denmark for a third time.
Norway was represented by Jahn Teigen and Anita Skorgan, with the song "Adieu", at the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest, which took place on 24 April in Harrogate, England. "Adieu" was chosen as the Norwegian entry at the Melodi Grand Prix on 20 March. This was a second Eurovision appearance for Teigen and a third for Skorgan.
Switzerland was represented by Arlette Zola with the song "Amour on t'aime" at the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 24 April. Zola was the winner of the Swiss national final for the 1982 Contest, held on 28 January.

Mess was the winner of the Austrian national final for the contest, held on 25 March. The song was chosen through a national final organised by broadcaster ORF.
