Chips was a Swedish country group formed in Sweden in 1979.
Chips finished 4th in the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1980 with the song "Mycke' mycke' mer", with Lars Westman, Lisa Magnusson, Mats Rådberg and Monica Silverstrand (back then Barwén) as background singers. After Melodifestivalen 1980, Johansson also became a member. In 1980, the album Chips was released and shortly after this, Elisabeth Andreasson became a member. Just some weeks after this, they toured the former West Germany.
Under a new name Sweets 'n Chips, which they used since a dansband also said they owned the right for the name Chips, the group competed at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1981, and finished second with the song "God morgon". A little bit later the group was reduced to two members, Danielsson and Andreasson, although Holm stayed as songwriter.
Chips won the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1982, with the song "Dag efter dag". They represented Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 1982 in Harrogate in the United Kingdom, there they finished 8th.
After the 1982 Swedish Melodifestivalen success, the album Having a Party was released, and sold around 100,000 copies in Sweden. They toured the northern parts of Europe and had a successful 1982. However, the group split in 1983, due to limited success outside Sweden and Norway, and also because both members had solo careers. [1]

Elisabeth Gunilla Andreassen, also known as just Bettan, is a Norwegian-Swedish singer who has finished both first and second in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Ann-Kristin "Kikki" Danielsson is a Swedish country, dansband and pop singer. Sometimes, she also plays the accordion and she has also written some lyrics. She has gained notice for yodeling in some songs. Danielsson gained her largest popularity in the Nordic region from the late 1970s until the late 1990s. She also gained popularity at the US country stage during the 1980s. In 1986, she had the "Kikki i Nashville" TV show.
"La det swinge" is a Norwegian-language song by the pop duo Bobbysocks!. It was the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 and Norway's first victory in the contest. The song is a tribute to dancing to old rock 'n' roll heard on the radio. Befitting the subject matter, the song itself is written in an old-fashioned style, with a memorable saxophone melody starting the song. The melody arrangement is in retro style, containing elements of contemporary 1980s music and throwbacks to the 1950s. Following their win, the single peaked at number one in the Norwegian and Belgian singles chart, and entered the charts in various countries, including Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, Austria, Ireland and the United Kingdom.

Fri – En samling is a compilation album from Swedish pop and country singer Kikki Danielsson, released on October 29, 2001. The album contains songs who Kikki Danielsson recorded, self or together with other, between the years 1977-2001. Four of the songs were new back in 2001: "Fri", "Lämna mig inte", "I mitt hem" and "Rör vid mej". In 2002, Swedish band Barbados recorded an English language version of the title track "Fri", as "Sweet Little Angel".
"Då lyser en sol" is a Swedish language ballad, written in 1981 by Lasse Holm. In 1981, Elisabeth Andreasson recorded the song. The song text is, in an astronomical aspect, about the Sun and what it the Sun means for the life on Earth. The song text also describes how the dusk falls and the night arrives to the town. But it's also a love song about making a darling happy. The song is on the singer Elisabeth Andreassons 1981 album "Angel of the Morning". The song has later been sung by many artists, sometimes with a changed text. In 1986 Trygve Henrik Hoff wrote a Norwegian language text: Det skal lyse en sol, which Sissel Kyrkjebø sang. The Sissel Kyrkjebø version was on the Sveriges Radio hitlist Svensktoppen for 17 rounds, during the period 8 November 1987-6 March 1988, with 4th place as best result there.

Wizex is a Swedish dansband formed in Osby in 1973. It purchased the rights to the name from a band that started as Ulrik Wittmans Kvintett in 1957. When Ulrik Wittman left the band in 1963 they started to use the name Wizex. When read out the name sounds like "The Six of Us", "vi sex", in Swedish, and it was six persons left in the band when they changed the name. Today's band had six founders and was allowed to purchase the name, and hence use 1973 as the starting point.
Having a Party is a 1982 studio album from Swedish group Chips. It was released in May 1982. The album sold more than 100 000 copies in Sweden, both gold and platinum. Back in those days, the demands for selling gold and platinum were higher than as of today (2006). Gold was at least 50 000 and platinum was at least 100 000.
"God morgon" is a pop song in Swedish, performed by the pop and country group Chips, just then named "Sweets 'n Chips", at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1981, where it finished 2nd. Its lyrics are about morning. "God morgon" was written by Lasse Holm and Torgny Söderberg. With this song, Elisabeth Andreasson and Britta "Tanja" Johansson made their Melodifestivalen debuts. In 1981, "God morgon" was also released as a single. On April 5, 1981 the song entered number one on the Swedish hitlist Svensktoppen. The song was also recorded with lyrics in English, as "Good Morning".
"I dag & i morgon" is a song written by Thomas G:son and Calle Kindbom. Swedish pop and country singer Kikki Danielsson sang it when it finished 10th at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 2006. The song was originally performed by Kikki Danielsson at Melodifestivalen 2006, where it made it from the semifinal in Karlstad on 25 February directly to the final inside the Stockholm Globe Arena on 18 March, where it ended up 10th. Kikki Danielsson also recorded the song for the 2006 album with the same name.
Miss Decibel, written by Lasse Holm and Gert Lengstrand, is a song in Swedish, which finished 2nd at the Swedish Melodifestivalen 1978. It was performed by the Swedish "dansband" Wizex, back then including Kikki Danielsson as lead vocal singer, together with Lasse Holm. The song, which lyrical describes about a little singing-screaming girl and her parents who see her screaming abilities as an opportunity to become a singing star in the future, ends with a refrain in English including the words "Decibel, you gonna be a star".

Mats Rådberg was a Swedish country singer, guitarist, composer and architect scoring several chart successes in Sweden during the 1970s/80s. He is well known for working together with the country band Rankarna under the name Mats Rådberg & Rankarna. He also participated at Melodifestivalen 1977 with the song "Du och jag och sommaren", written by Tomas Ledin, which ended up 10th.
