Kim placed sixth in this event, as he successfully lifted 146 kg in the single-motion snatch, and hoisted 180 kg in the two-part, shoulder-to-overhead clean and jerk, for a total of 326 kg.
Yun Won-Chol is an amateur North Korean Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's featherweight category. Yun represented North Korea at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he competed in the men's 55 kg class. He received a bye for the preliminary round of sixteen match, before losing to South Korea's Choi Gyu-Jin, who was able to score three points in two straight periods, leaving Yun without a single point.
Ri Chol-guk is a North Korean table tennis player. As of May 2012, Ri is ranked no. 86 in the world by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). Ri is a member of the table tennis team for Kigwancha Sports Club, and is coached and trained by Kim Jin Myong. He is also right-handed, and uses the penhold grip.

The election of deputies to the 14th Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) was held in North Korea on 10 March 2019. The elections were announced on 6 January 2019. With only one candidate on the ballot in each constituency, outside observers recognized it as a show election. 687 for the DPRK deputies to the SPA were elected. Kim Jong-un did not stand for election, marking the first time that a North Korean leader did not participate as a candidate.
