Yun Chol (born 21 February 1966) is a North Korean weightlifter. He competed in the men's middle heavyweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. [1] He also won a silver medal at the 1990 Asian Games [2] and finished seventh at the 1990 World Weightlifting Championships. [3]
Sotirios Versis was a Greek athlete and weightlifter. He competed at the 1896 Summer Olympics in Athens and the 1900 Summer Olympics held in Paris.

Aruba sent a delegation to compete at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, United States from 19 July to 4 August 1996. This was Aruba's third appearance at a Summer Olympic Games since separating from the Netherlands Antilles. The Aruban delegation consisted of three competitors, track and field athlete Miguel Janssen, weightlifter Junior Faro, and cyclist Lucien Dirksz. Janseen was eliminated in the first round of the men's 200 metres, Faro finished 21st in the men's middleweight, and Dirksz failed to finish his event.
Stefan Khristov Botev is an Olympic weightlifter who represented Bulgaria and later competed for Australia. He was coached by Ivan Abadzhiev. Botev is a two-time world and European champion, winner of the World Cup in 1988 and was voted as Bulgaria's Sportsperson of the Year in 1990. Stefan is a two-time Olympic bronze medalist - once for Bulgaria in 1992 and once for Australia in 1996. Botev is a three-time gold medalist from the Goodwill Games in Seattle in 1990.

Rodney Adolphus Wilkes was a weightlifter from Trinidad and Tobago. Nicknamed "The Mighty Midget" he remained relatively unknown outside of local competition until he won the gold medal at the 1946 Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla, Colombia. His performance included record lifts of 205 pounds (93 kg) in the press, 210 pounds (95 kg) in the snatch and 275 pounds (125 kg) in the clean and jerk.
The Men's Light-heavyweight Weightlifting Event is the fifth-heaviest men's event at the weightlifting competition, limiting competitors to a maximum of 82.5 kilograms of body mass. The competition took place on 31 July in the Pavelló de l'Espanya Industrial.
Chen Shih-chieh is a Taiwanese male weightlifter. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he competed for his country in the Men's +105 kg, finishing in 10th with a total of 418 kg. He earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Games in the same event, lifting a combined 424 kg. The 191 kg Chen lifted in the snatch set a new Chinese Taipei record. He was unable to finish the competition at the 2016 Olympics. In 2019 he tested positive for Testosterone and was banned until 2023 by the International Weightlifting Federation.
Om Yun-chol or Um Yoon-chul is a North Korean retired weightlifter, coach, Olympic Champion, and five time World Champion competing in the 56 kg category until 2018 and 55 kg starting in 2018 after the International Weightlifting Federation reorganized the categories. He is 152 centimetres and weighs 55 kilograms (121 lb). Om represents the Amnokgang Sports Team.
Im Yong-su is a North Korean weightlifter. He won a gold medal in the men's 62 kg division at the 2002 World Weightlifting Championships in Warsaw, Poland, with a total of 315.0 kilograms. He also captured two silver medals at the Asian Games. Im competed for the same division at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, and at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, but he neither completed the event, nor claimed an Olympic medal.
Yun Won-Chol is an amateur North Korean Greco-Roman wrestler, who competed in the men's featherweight category. Yun represented North Korea at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, where he competed in the men's 55 kg class. He received a bye for the preliminary round of sixteen match, before losing to South Korea's Choi Gyu-Jin, who was able to score three points in two straight periods, leaving Yun without a single point.
Jon Chol-ho is a North Korean former weightlifter, who competed in the middleweight class and represented North Korea at international competitions. He won the bronze medal at the 1989 World Weightlifting Championships in the 75 kg category. He won the bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics in the 76 kg event. He also participated at the 1992 Summer Olympics in the 82.5 kg event and 2000 Summer Olympics in the 77 kg event. He won the gold medal at the 1990 Asian Games in the Lightweight class.

Ekambaram Karunakaran is an Indian former weightlifter. He competed in the men's flyweight event at the 1980 Summer Olympics. He was the first Indian to win the gold medal in an international competition in weightlifting. This was in the Commonwealth games in Edmonton, Canada in 1978. Karunakaran's career spanned over a decade. He was conferred with the Arjuna Award in the year 1978-79 by the Government of India.
Yun Yong-chol is a North Korean boxer. He competed in the men's lightweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics.
Mohammad Malik Arshad was a Pakistani weightlifter. He competed at the 1972 Summer Olympics and the 1976 Summer Olympics. He was a bronze medalist at the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran. He also won a gold medal at the 1976 Asian Weightlifting Championships held in Bangkok.
Samuel Alegada is a Filipino weightlifter. He competed in the men's bantamweight event at the 1988 Summer Olympics. Alegada later became a coach for the weightlifting national team of the Philippines.
Ramón Solis is a Filipino weightlifter. He has represented the Philippines internationally from 1975 to 1998. He won several medals in the Southeast Asian Games from 1977 to 1997. He won gold medals in 1981, 1983, 1985, 1987, 1989 and 1991 in the Southeast Asian Games. He competed in the men's middle heavyweight event at the 1988 Summer Olympics. He has also competed at the 1998 Asian Games in the men's 105 kg event.
