Zhang Anzhi (1911 - 1991) was a Chinese painter and Olympian who competed in the art competitions at the 1948 Summer Olympics in London. [2]

Life

Zhang Anzhi graduated from Nanjing Central University in 1931, under the guidance of Xu Beihong, and later Lü Fengzi, and continued his studies in 1946 at the University of London. In 1948, he took part in the Olympics, and was later admitted as professor and taught at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. He died in 1991, aged 80. [3] [4]

Huangshan, is a prefecture-level city in Southern Anhui Province, People's Republic of China. Huangshan means Yellow Mountain in Chinese and the city is named after the famously scenic Yellow Mountains which cover much of the city's vast geographic expanse. The prefectural city of Huangshan includes three urban districts and four counties. The urban center of Huangshan was originally the city of Tunxi and is now called Tunxi District. Locals still call the city Tunxi to distinguish urban core from other parts of Huangshan.

Spring in a Small Town is a black-and-white Chinese film released in 1948, written by Li Tianji and directed by Fei Mu, a director known for his empathetic portrayal of women. It was produced and funded by Wenhua Film Company, whose great financial deficit at the time led it to produce Spring in a Small Town on a low budget with a minimalist plot and setting. The film casted only five characters.

Su Bingtian Chinese sprinter

Su Bingtian is a Chinese sprinter. He was the first ever Asian-born sprinter to break the 10-second barrier of the 100 metres event in track and field. His personal best in the 100 metres makes him the current co-holder of the 100 m Asian record, which is shared with Nigerian-born Qatari Femi Ogunode. Su's personal best in the 60 metres of 6.42 seconds makes him the current holder of the 60 m Asian record and places him within the top five of all-time 60 metres performances.

Liaoning Football Club, officially known as Liaoning Hongyun, was a professional association football club with a long history in Chinese football. The club can predate their formation to 1953, when Shenyang government sports body joined existing club Northeast China to play in the Chinese national football league. By 1956, the league was gradually expanded and regional sports institutes' own representatives were allowed, which eventually formed Liaoning Football Club. The club won several titles as well as the 1989–90 Asian Club Championship when they beat Nissan Yokohama in the final, making Liaoning FC the first Chinese club to win an Asian club championship trophy. Since February 26, 1994, the team was established as a full professional football club to play in the 1994 Chinese Jia-A League season, making them one of the founding members of the first fully professionalized top-tier league in China.

Zhang Guowei is a Chinese high jumper. He holds the Chinese indoor record of 2.33 metres, and has jumped 2.38 metres outdoors. He was the 2015 World Championship silver medallist and the silver medallist at the 2012 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships. He has been a finalist at the World Championships in Athletics and the IAAF World Indoor Championships and represented China at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics.

Zhang Xiaoqian Chinese physician

Zhang Xiaoqian, also known as Hsiao-ch'ien Chang, was a Chinese gastroenterologist who is considered the founder of gastroenterology in China. He served as President of Hsiang-Ya Medical College and Vice President of Peking Union Medical College, and was a founding member of both Academia Sinica and the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Zhang Qi is a former Chinese politician who spent most of his career in Hainan province. He was investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission, the highest anti-corruption agency of China, in September 2019. Previously he served as Party chief of Haikou, capital of Hainan province. Zhang is the first senior official who was placed under investigation in Hainan since the Communist Party of China's 19th National Congress in late 2017 and the fourth incumbent provincial level official was sacked for graft since then.
