Zhang Yu is a mainland Chinese film actress. Zhang is the first actress to win both the Golden Rooster Award and the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress, for Romance on Lushan Mountain . [1] She was nominated for the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress and the Huabiao Award for Outstanding Actress for Ren Changxia (2005).

Golden Rooster Awards

The Golden Rooster Awards are awards in film given in mainland China. The awards were originally given annually, beginning in 1981. The name of the award came from the year of the Rooster in 1981. Award recipients receive a statuette in the shape of a golden rooster, and are selected by a jury of filmmakers, film experts, and film historians. The awards are the Chinese equivalent to the American Academy Awards.

Xu Jinglei is a Chinese actress and film director. She was hailed as one of the Four Dan Actresses in China. In 2002, Xu won the Huabiao Award for Outstanding New Actress for her performance in I Love You and the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Actress for Spring Subway. Hundred Flowers Awards

The Hundred Flowers Awards are together with the Golden Rooster Awards the most prestigious film awards in China; the Chinese equivalent of American Golden Globes. The awards were inaugurated by China Film Association in 1962 and sponsored by Popular Cinema (大众电影) magazine, which has the largest circulation in mainland China.
