Orphaned Land is an Israeli heavy metal band, formed in 1991 under the name Resurrection, that combines Jewish and other West Asian influences. The band has gone through several lineup changes over the years, but has retained two of the founding members, Kobi Farhi (vocals) and Uri Zelcha (bass). They are joined by Matan Shmuely (drums), Chen Balbus (guitar/keyboard) who replaced co-founding member Matti Svatizky in 2012, and Idan Amsalem (guitars/bouzouki) who replaced co-founding member Yossi Sassi in early 2014. Their lyrics promote a message of peace and unity, particularly between the three main Abrahamic religions.

Formed in Orlando, Florida in 1999, the group's first recording lineup included vocalist and guitarist Matt Heafy, bassist Brent Young and drummer Travis Smith, who together released Ember to Inferno on Lifeforce Records in 2003. After the addition of guitarist Corey Beaulieu and new bassist Paolo Gregoletto in place of Young, the band signed with Roadrunner Records and released Ascendancy in 2005, which reached number 151 on the US Billboard 200. It also reached number 79 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified gold by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI). Unisonic is a German hard rock/power metal supergroup, founded on 10 November 2009 by Helloween singer Michael Kiske alongside Dennis Ward and Kosta Zafiriou from Pink Cream 69 and Mandy Meyer, formerly in Asia and Gotthard. In 2011 the band was joined by Gamma Ray leader and Helloween co-founder, Kai Hansen.

Later, it was released via earMusic in the United Kingdom on May 31, 2015 as a digital single.

Formed in Wrexham in 2012, Neck Deep originally featured lead vocalist Ben Barlow, lead guitarist Lloyd Roberts, rhythm guitarist Matt West, bassist Fil Thorpe-Evans and drummer Dani Washington. Metal Resistance is the second studio album by Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. It was first released on March 29, 2016, in Japan through BMD Fox Records, and on April 1, 2016, worldwide through earMusic, RED Associated Labels (RAL), and Sony Music Entertainment. Most work for the album began in 2014, shortly after the release of the band's debut album Babymetal. The members of the band describe the album as more diverse in heavy metal, with the recurring theme acquired while on tour.

The discography of Architects, a British metalcore band, consists of nine studio albums, one split EP, two live albums, one video album, one demo album, twenty-three singles and 32 music videos. Formed in Brighton in 2004, the group originally consisted of vocalist Matt Johnson, guitarists Tom Searle and Tim Hillier-Brook, bassist Tim Lucas and drummer Dan Searle, who released the band's debut album Nightmares in 2006. In 2007, Johnson was replaced by Sam Carter and Lucas was replaced by Ali Dean, and the band released its second album Ruin. Hollow Crown followed on Century Media Records in 2009, which was the band's first album to register on the UK Albums Chart, reaching number 117. The band released The Here and Now in January 2011, which reached number 57 on the UK Albums Chart and topped the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart.
