Dr. Zoran T. Popovski is a Macedonian scientist and professor working at the Institute of Animal Biotechnology [1] under the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Food in the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. [2] He is a specialist in molecular biology in animal science, genetic engineering and GMO. [3] He has been working for the faculty since 1992. [4]
In the period 2002-2006 he worked as a State Secretary in the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia. In this role he was a member of the National Expert Group and worked on Education Strategy. [5] He also represented Macedonian Science and Technology within the western Balkans EU region. [6]
Popovski's last publication discussed polymorphism in the genome of indigenous Macedonian and Slovenian sheep breeds.[ citation needed ]
The Saints Cyril and Methodius University is a public research university in Skopje, North Macedonia. It is the oldest and largest public university in the country. It is named after the Byzantine Christian theologians and missionaries Cyril and Methodius. As of 2018–19 school year, a total of 25,220 students are enrolled at the university. Furthermore, the teaching and research staff number 2,390 people; this is further supported by over 300 members in the university's institutions.

Zoran Jolevski is a Macedonian diplomat and the former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Macedonia. Prior to his appointment as Minister of Defense, he served as Macedonia's Ambassador to the United States of America. In November 2008, he was appointed chief negotiator to the Macedonia naming dispute, and in 2011 he was appointed Ambassador to the United Mexican States and as Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States. He served as Secretary General of the late Macedonian president Boris Trajkovski from 2000–2004. He holds a Ph.D. in International Economy from Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. He is married to Suzana Jolevska, and together they have two sons, Pero (1988) and Filip (1992).
The Krste Misirkov Institute for the Macedonian Language is the regulatory body of the Macedonian language and is a part of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, North Macedonia. The institute was established in March 1953 in order to standardise the Macedonian language and to organise creative potentials in the sphere of Macedonian studies. It is also used to ensure professional training and improvement towards those teaching the language. It was then that the Act of the Ministry of Education of the Government of the then Socialist Republic of Macedonia for transforming the Department of the Macedonian Language and Literature at the Institute of Folklore into an autonomous Institute of the Macedonian Language was empowered. At first the Institute functioned as a component part of the Faculty of Philosophy, but soon it turned into a separate scholarly institution with independent financing.

Ljubomir Cuculovski is a Macedonian philosopher and professor in Skopje. He graduated from the Department of Philosophy, Faculty of Philosophy of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, with a thesis on The Sources of Bergson’s Theory of Knowledge. Then he received his master's title in sociological science in 1982, at the Institute for Sociological, Political and Juridical Research in Skopje, with a thesis on Religion and Morality. Georgi D. Efremov was a Macedonian academic and scientist at the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts, Skopje, Macedonia, and a professor in the Faculty of Agricultural Science and Food in Skopje. He was specialized in genetic engineering in human medicine, veterinary medicine, and animal biotechnology. He was a former Ambassador and Minister of Science in the Republic of Macedonia.
The Faculty of Agricultural Science and Food in Skopje is a part of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje. The faculty is located in the eastern part of the city Skopje on campus with other departments of biolocical and biotechnological science:Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University Hospital for Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Institute, Institute of Agriculture and Faculty of Forestry.
