Ghulam Murtaza Bhutto was a Pakistani politician and leader of al-Zulfiqar,a Pakistani left-wing militant organization. Murtaza founded al-Zulfiqar after his father was overthrown and executed in 1979 by the military regime of General Zia-ul-Haq. In 1981,he claimed responsibility for the murder of conservative politician Chaudhry Zahoor Elahi,and the hijacking of a Pakistan International Airlines airplane from Karachi,during which a hostage was killed. In exile in Afghanistan,Murtaza was sentenced to death in absentia by a military tribunal.
Zulfiqar (ذوالفقار) is an Iranian main battle tank,conceived by Brigadier General Mir-Younes Masoumzadeh,deputy ground force commander for research and self-sufficiency of the armed forces. It is named after Zulfiqar,the legendary sword of Ali,the fourth Caliph and the first Shiite Imam. It's also known as Zolfaqar.

The siege of Jinji,,began when the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb appointed Zulfiqar Ali Khan as the Nawab of the Carnatic and dispatched him to besiege and capture Jinji Fort,which had been sacked and captured by Maratha Empire troops led by Rajaram,they had also ambushed and killed about 300 Mughal Sowars in the Carnatic. The Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb then ordered Ghazi ud-Din Khan Feroze Jung I to protect the supply routes leading to Jinji Fort and to support and provide reinforcements to Zulfiqar Ali Khan when needed.
