The 17th Lux Style Awards ceremony was held in Expo Center in Lahore, Pakistan. [1] The award show not only recognized and acknowledged excellence in Fashion, Film, Music and TV but also created consciousness about various social causes, such as sexual abuse, child abuse and human rights. [2] [3] Unilever Pakistan Marketing Director Raheel Pasha also issued a statement earlier saying that 17th Lux Style Awards show was going to bring focus on ‘social awakening’ and ‘stand in solidarity with the nation’ at this ‘critical time’. [4] The event started off with celebrities and prominent personalities walking down the red carpet. Ali Kazmi, the official Red Carpet host engaged the stars in quick and light hearted conversations after visiting the Social Corner, which was hosted by Ayesha Omer. Punjab Nahi Jaungi remained most awards winning film with four awards while Baaghi remained most awards winning TV series by winning three awards. [5] [6] [7]

The Awards show was directed By Vaneeza Ahmad and the development was said to be occurred because of budget cuts for the show. [8] [9] The opening and closing was executed by Frieha Altaf where she also launched the #MeinBhi campaign which aimed to aimed to cover several human rights violations. [10] [11]

Sohai Ali Abro is a Pakistani actress, dancer and model, who appears in Pakistani television serials and films. She is known for her roles in serials such as Geo TV's Saat Pardon Mein (2012), Hum TV's Tanhai (2013), Khoya Khoya Chand (2013), Rishtay Kuch Adhooray Se (2013) and ARY Digital's serial Pyaray Afzal (2014). Abro made her film debut with a supporting role in the 2013 romantic drama Anjuman. Her performance earned her a nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category at Tarang Housefull Awards. Her other films include Wrong No., Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and Motorcycle Girl (2018), for which she received a Lux Style Award for Best Film Actress.

Mehwish Hayat is a Pakistani actress who primarily works in Urdu films and formerly in television. She made her debut in the film with comedy Jawani Phir Nahi Ani (2015) and later went on to Actor in Law (2016). Hayat is since starred in comedies Punjab Nahi Jaungi (2017), Load Wedding (2018) and London Nahi Jaunga (2022) all of which rank among one of highest-grossing Pakistani films.

UrwaTul Wusqua Hussain, better known by her stage name Urwa Hocane is a Pakistani actress, model and media personality. She made her acting debut with Khushboo Ka Ghar as Rukhsana in 2012. Hocane is best known for portraying Meera in Udaari which earned her Hum Awards for Best On-screen Couple shared with Farhan Saeed and a nomination in the Hum Awards for Best Actress Popular. She played the role of Guddi in Momina Duraid's Mushk which earned her a Lux Style Award for Best Actress Critics nomination.

Shuja Haider or Shuja Hyder is a Pakistani singer, songwriter, composer, and record producer. Haider is best known as a playback singer for films Khuda Kay Liye (2007) and Bol (2011) and more recently for his work on Coke Studio, Pakistan. Haider served as music director for Lux Style Awards for two years. He has produced over 50 albums in his career and is considered one of the most established music producers in Pakistan today.

Nirmal Roy is a Pakistani singer. Born in Lahore, she started her career at the age of twelve. Roy has performed and won many music competitions on national level, including the Voice of Kinnaird College in 2014. In 2016, she made her Coke Studio debut as a featured artist in the ninth season, with the song "Ala Bali", along with Jabar Abbas, as a part of team Sheraz Uppal. Upon release, the song as well as Roy's singing style was praised. In 2015 she was again selected to take part in Coke Studio along with Ali Hamza for the track "Jindaani". She was also selected to do playback for the Pakistani film Punjab Nahi Jaungi for the track "Raunaq-E-Ashiqui".

Aima Noor-ul Ain Baig is a Pakistani singer. She is known for her appearances on Dunya News' program Mazaaq Raat from 2015 to 2017. She rose to fame from her songs in Lahore Se Aagey (2016), after which she gained popularity through many other soundtracks and her appearance in Coke Studio. She was awarded Tamgha-e-Fakhre-Imtiaz in August 2019.

Bilal Abbas Khan is a Pakistani actor known for his portrayal of boy next door in the media, he features among the list of the nation's popular personalities. Khan is the recipient of three Lux Style Awards. After making his acting debut with a supporting role in the religious drama Saya-e-Dewar Bhi Nahi (2016), he rose to prominence with the romantic drama O Rangreza (2017) the thriller Balaa (2018) and the revenge Cheekh (2019). For the later two, he received a nomination for the Lux Style Award for Best TV Actor.

The 18th Lux Style Awards presented by Lux to honor the best in fashion, music, films and 2018 in Pakistani television, took place on 7 July 2019 at Expo Center, Karachi, Sindh.

Umera Ahmed is a Pakistani writer, author and screenwriter. She is best known for her novels and plays Shehr-e-Zaat, Pir-e-Kamil, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Alif, Durr-e-Shehwar, Daam, Man-o-Salwa, Qaid-e-Tanhai, Digest Writer, Maat, Kankar, Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan, Doraha and Hum Kahan Ke Sachay Thay. Umera Ahmed is one of the most widely-read and popular Urdu fiction novelists and screenplay writers of this era.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Amna Mufti</span>

Amna Mufti is a screenwriter, columnist and author from Pakistan. She has written more than five novels and more than twenty television series. Her accolades include a Lux Style Award and a PEN Award.

The 19th Lux Style Awards presented by Lux to honor the best in fashion, music, films and Pakistani television of 2019, held digitally on 31 December 2020. The awards were held virtually due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in the world.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress</span>

The Lux Style Award for Best TV Actress is given by the Lux as part of its annual Lux Style Awards for best performance by an actress in a Pakistani TV series as voted by the general public.

Frieha Altaf is a Pakistani actress, former model, host, film director, producer and human rights activist. She is the CEO of her own Catwalk Event Management and Sahil which she founded in 1989. She also worked in classic dramas Rozi and Kohar. Altaf also had guest appearances in films Lahore Se Aagey, Wajood, Baaji and Parey Hut Love.

The Lux Style Award for Best TV Play is given by the Lux as part of its annual Lux Style Awards for Pakistani TV series. The recipient of the award is the producer of the play.
