The Call of Duty League (CDL) is a professional esports league for the video game series Call of Duty, produced by its publisher Activision. The Call of Duty League follows the model of the Overwatch League as well as other traditional North American professional sporting leagues by using a set of permanent, city-based teams backed by separate ownership groups. In addition, the league plays in a tournament point system and playoffs format rather than the use of promotion and relegation used commonly in other esports and non-North American leagues, with players on the roster being assured a minimum annual salary, benefits, and a portion of winnings and revenue-sharing based on how that team performs. The League was announced in 2019 with its inaugural season starting in 2020.

The 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual was an esports 24-hour automobile endurance race for Le Mans Prototype (LMP) and Le Mans Grand Touring Endurance (LMGTE) vehicles held on a simulated version of the Circuit de la Sarthe from 13 to 14 June 2020. The Automobile Club de l'Ouest, the FIA World Endurance Championship and Motorsport Games organised the race as a placeholder for the 2020 24 Hours of Le Mans that was postponed from June to September as a result of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in France. It was hosted on the rFactor 2 gaming platform and operated from Paris' Studio Gabriel. The race featured 50 teams of four drivers each sharing one car. The entry list was divided into two categories of vehicles: LMP and GTE. There were 30 teams in the LMP class and 20 in the GTE category.

Spacestation Gaming is a multi-regional professional esports organization based out of Utah founded and owned by social media influencer Shaun "Shonduras" McBride. Since its founding, SSG has grown to include teams in eight different leagues and is active in esports content creation. They won the Rainbow Six Siege world championship in 2020.

The 2021 OpTic Chicago season is the second season for NRG Esports in the Call of Duty League. It was announced on November 11, 2020 that this would be the first season under the brand of OpTic Chicago after the Chicago Huntsmen re-branded when CEO Hector "HECZ" Rodriguez regained the intellectual property of OpTic Gaming.

James Baldwin is a British racing driver and sim racer. He raced in the 2020 British GT Championship and the 2020 Formula One eSports Series.

The 2021-2022 Le Mans Virtual Series was the first season of the Le Mans Virtual Series which is an Esports endurance series. The five-event season began at the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza on 25 September 2021 and finished at the Circuit de la Sarthe for the 24 Hours of Le Mans Virtual on 15–16 January 2022 which took place at Studio Gabriel, in Paris, France.

The 2022 Call of Duty League season was the third season for the Call of Duty League, an esports league based on the video game franchise Call of Duty.
