The Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, officially the Chongqing Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China, is the municipal committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Chongqing. The committee secretary is the highest ranking post in the municipality. The current secretary is Yuan Jiajun, a member of the CCP Politburo, who succeeded Chen Min'er on 8 December 2022.
The Chongqing Municipal Committee was established in May 1949. In June 1997, after Chongqing was split from Sichuan to become a direct-administered municipality, Chongqing Municipal Committee became the municipality's highest administrative agency.

A Party Committee Secretary is the leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organization in a province, city, village, or other administrative unit. In most cases, it is the de facto highest political office of its area of jurisdiction. The term can also be used for the leadership position of CCP organizations in state-owned enterprises, private companies, foreign-owned companies, universities, research institutes, hospitals, as well as other institutions of the state.

Chen Min'er is a Chinese politician and a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party who is serving as the Communist Party Secretary of Tianjin. From 2017 to 2022, he served as the Communist Party Secretary of Chongqing and a member of the 19th Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party. Chen spent most of his career in his native Zhejiang province, serving as head of the provincial department of media, and Vice Governor of Zhejiang. In 2013, he was transferred to Guizhou as governor, and in 2015 promoted to provincial Communist Party Secretary. Chen was catapulted to prominence in 2017 in the aftermath of the ouster of Chongqing party secretary Sun Zhengcai, a move that made him well-positioned for further elevation.
Ren Xuefeng was a Chinese politician and business executive. Ren was an early leader of the Binhai New Area in Tianjin and served as the city's vice-mayor for eight years. He was transferred to Guangdong province in 2014, where he served as Communist Party Secretary of Guangzhou and Deputy Party Secretary of Guangdong. He was appointed Deputy Party Secretary of Chongqing in October 2018, but died in office a year later at age 54.

Zhang Guoqing is a Chinese politician and former corporate executive who has served as vice premier of the People's Republic of China since March 2023 and a member of the Politburo of the Chinese Communist Party since October 2022. Previously, he served as the mayor of Tianjin, one of the four direct-controlled municipalities of China. An economics doctorate from Tsinghua University, Zhang had previously served as the Communist Party secretary of Liaoning, mayor of Chongqing, the chief executive of North Industries, a military contractor.
