The Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, officially the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, is the provincial committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Guangdong Province. The committee secretary is the highest ranking post in the province. The current secretary is Huang Kunming, a member of the CCP Politburo, who succeeded Li Xi on 28 October 2022.

The Politics of Guangdong follows a dual party-government system like the rest of China's provinces. Guangdong is known for a surge of legislative activism in recent years, often called the Guangdong Phenomenon. The Guangdong Provincial People's Congress has enacted measures to increase democracy and transparency, and exert more control over the financial sector. Cai is the third senior political adviser to come under investigation in Guangdong province.

The 20th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party , officially the Central Committee of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, comprises 205 members and 171 alternates. It was elected at the 20th National Congress on 22 October 2022, and its term lasts until the election of the 21st Central Committee at the 21st National Congress, which is planned for 2027. The Central Committee, as the Party's highest decision-making body in the given period, is not a permanent body and convenes for an unspecified number of times.

The 20th Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) was elected at the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party on 22 October 2022. At its 1st Plenary Session, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection nominated its candidates for secretary, deputy secretaries, secretary-general and other members of the 20th CCDI Standing Committee. These were later approved by the 20th Central Committee at its 1st Plenary Session on 23 October 2022.

The Standing Committee of the 20th electoral term of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) was elected by the CCDI's 1st Plenary Session on 23 October and approved by the 20th Central Committee at its 1st Plenary Session later that same day. The Standing Committee is composed of the CCDI secretary, deputy secretaries, secretary-general and other members.

The committee secretary is the highest ranking post in the province. The current secretary is Xin Changxing, who succeeded Wu Zhenglong on 3 January 2023.
