The Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, officially the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Regional Committee of the Communist Party of China, is the regional committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The committee secretary is the highest ranking post in the region. The current secretary is Liang Yanshun, who succeeded Chen Run'er on 28 March 2022.
On 18 October 1949, with the approval of the CCP Central Committee, the Ningxia Provincial Working Committee was established. [1] In November 1957, with the abolition of the Ningxia Province and the creation of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Working Committee was established. In May 1958, it was renamed to become the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Committee. [2]

The Politics of Ningxia Autonomous Region in the People's Republic of China is structured in a dual party-government system like all other governing institutions in mainland China.
Wang Zhengwei is a retired Chinese politician, economist, and expert on Islamic affairs. Of Hui ethnic heritage, Wang served as the Chairman of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission between 2013 and 2016, and Chairman (Governor) of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region between 2007 and 2013. He is also served as a vice chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference between 2013 and 2023.
Shi Taifeng is a Chinese politician currently serving as the head of the United Front Work Department (UFWD) of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the first-ranking vice chairperson of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC). He is additionally a member of the CCP Politburo and a secretary of the CCP Secretariat.
Bai Xueshan is a former Chinese politician. He was the Vice Chairman of Ningxia since 2013. On November 6, 2015, Bai was placed under investigation by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection. He was the first provincial-ministerial level official being examined from Ningxia after the 18th Party Congress in 2012. In 2017, Bai was sentenced to 15 years in prison for bribery.
Chen Run'er is a Chinese politician who served as the Communist Party Secretary of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region from October 2019 to March 2022. He formerly served as Governor of Henan Province, the Deputy Communist Party Chief of Heilongjiang Province, and Party Chief of the cities of Changsha and Xiangtan in his home province of Hunan.
