The Edison River is a river of the Westland District of New Zealand. It arises in the Solution Range near Mount Elliot and flows north-west and north into the Mahitahi River. [1]

The Clearwater River is on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. The river originates on the northern slopes of Mt Mitchell on the eastern end of the Victoria Range, only one valley north of the Fox Glacier and Fox River. Clearwater River and its tributary creeks drain land to the north of the Cook (Weheka) River. The river flows under a bridge of SH 6 just north of the Fox Glacier township and passes close to Lake Matheson shortly after before flowing into Cook River, which drains into the Tasman Sea.

Lauriston, New Zealand

Lauriston is a lightly populated locality in the Canterbury region of New Zealand's South Island. It is situated on the Canterbury Plains south of the Rakaia River, some 20 kilometres (12 mi) inland from Rakaia. It was named after one of its pioneer settlers with the name of Laurie.

Lammerlaw Range

The Lammerlaw Range is in the Otago region of New Zealand. It is an important watershed, and the source of many of the tributaries in the Taieri and lower Clutha River systems. The origins of the placename are Scottish. Windfarms have been sited in the area. The area includes distinctive geology including ribbon fens and peat habitats. The Lammerlaw and Lammermoor Ranges also include tussock grasslands. Parts of the ranges are in Te Papanui Conservation Park. The endangered Eldon's galaxias is found in the range.
