Navdeep Singh Bains is a Canadian politician who served as Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry from 2015 to 2021. A member of the Liberal Party, he represented the riding of Mississauga—Malton in the House of Commons from 2015 to 2021. He previously represented the riding of Mississauga—Brampton South from 2004 to 2011.

Kuldip Singh Kular is an Indian-born Canadian politician and former Member of Provincial Parliament in Ontario, Canada. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2003 to 2011 representing the riding of Bramalea—Gore—Malton.

The largest Sikh populations in Canada are found in Ontario, followed by British Columbia and Alberta. As of the 2021 Census, more than half of Canada's Sikhs can be found in one of four cities: Brampton (163,260), Surrey (154,415), Calgary (49,465), and Edmonton (41,385).

Baljit Singh Gosal is a Canadian politician who served as the Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for the electoral district of Bramalea—Gore—Malton from 2011 until 2015. He served as Minister of State (Sport) in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper. Gosal was one of five visible minorities serving in the Harper cabinet. He was defeated by Liberal candidate Ramesh Sangha in the 2015 election.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jagmeet Singh</span> Canadian politician (born 1979)

Jagmeet Singh Jimmy Dhaliwal is a Canadian politician who has served as the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP) since 2017. Singh has sat as the member of Parliament (MP) for Burnaby South since 2019. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 2011, representing Bramalea—Gore—Malton until his entry into federal politics. A practicing Sikh of Punjabi descent, Singh is an Indo-Canadian, making him the first Sikh and the first member of a visible minority group to be elected to lead a major federal political party in Canada.

Indo-Canadian organized crime is made up predominantly of young adults and teenagers of Indian ethnic, cultural and linguistic background. Collectively, these groups are among the top 5 major homegrown organized crime hierarchy across the nation in Canada coming in 3rd place, after the Asian Triads and White biker gangs. The 2004 RCMP British Columbia Annual Police Report ranked them third in terms of organization and sophistication in British Columbia, ranked behind outlaw motorcycle clubs and aforementioned Chinese criminal organizations such as the Triads drug clans.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">South Asian Canadians in British Columbia</span>

The South Asian community in British Columbia was first established in 1897. The first immigrants originated from Punjab, British India, a northern region and state in modern-day India and Pakistan. Punjabis originally settled in rural British Columbia at the turn of the twentieth century, working in the forestry and agricultural industries.

Prabmeet Singh Sarkaria, is a Canadian lawyer and politician who is the Ontario Minister of Transportation. He has sat as the member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) for the riding of Brampton South since the 2018 Ontario provincial election, representing the Progressive Conservative (PC) Party. He was the associate minister of small business and red tape reduction from 2019 to 2021.

Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, known professionally as Sidhu Moose Wala, was an Indian rapper and singer. He worked predominantly in Punjabi-language music and cinema. He was shot dead by unidentified assailants in May 2022.

Sandeep Singh Sidhu, known as Sunny Malton, is a Punjabi Canadian rapper and singer. He rose to mainstream with his track 'Issa Jatt' with Sidhu Moose Wala. His song Levels with Sidhu charted at 32 on Canadian Hot 100.
