Sowmya Sathyanarayana, better known by her stage name Soundarya, was an Indian actress known for her works primarily in Telugu cinema in addition to Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam films. She has received three Nandi Awards, two Karnataka State Film Awards and six Filmfare Awards South. In 2002, she received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film as a producer for the Kannada film Dweepa.

Yalamanchili Venkata Satyanarayana Chowdary is an Indian Telugu cinema writer, director, producer, distributor, exhibitor and a music company owner. He made his debut as a director in 1998 with the film Sri Sita Ramula Kalyanam Chootamu Raarandi produced by Nagarjuna under the banner "Great India Entertainments". He then directed Seetharama Raju starring Nagarjuna and Nandamuri Harikrishna, and Yuvaraju starring Mahesh Babu. He then established his own production house "Bommarillu Vari" and started producing his own directorial efforts with Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo. Later, he directed Seetayya, Devadasu, Okka Magaadu, Saleem, Rey. Among these, Saleem is the only film which is not from his production house. He has directed nine films till date. In 2012, he produced Nippu starring Ravi Teja and Deeksha Seth under the direction of Gunasekhar.

<i>Suyamvaram</i> 1999 Indian film

Suyamvaram is a 1999 Indian Tamil-language comedy drama film starring an ensemble cast of actors in the Tamil film industry and shot by a large technical team from the industry. The film was planned by Giridharilal Nagpal who produced and wrote the film's story and brought together 14 major directors, 19 cinematographers and over 30 leading actors in the Tamil film industry.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Telugu</span>

The Filmfare Best Actor Award is given by the Filmfare magazine as part of its annual Filmfare Awards South for Telugu films. The awards were extended to "Best Actor" in 1972. The year indicates the year of release of the film. Chiranjeevi is the most nominated with 21 nominations and the most awarded with seven times winning the award.

Manjula Vijayakumar was an Indian former actress. She acted in more than 100 films in South Indian languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Bhairava Dweepam is a 1994 Indian Telugu-language high fantasy film directed by Singeetam Srinivasa Rao who co-wrote the film with Raavi Kondala Rao. It is produced by B. Venkatarama Reddy under the Chandamama Vijaya Pictures banner. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna and Roja, with music composed by Madhavapeddi Suresh. The film was a box office success and won nine state Nandi Awards. Bhairava Dweepam is considered as a landmark fantasy film in Telugu cinema.

<i>Kalisundam Raa</i> 2000 Indian film

Kalisundham Raa is a 2000 Indian Telugu-language drama film directed by Udayasankar and produced by D. Suresh Babu. It stars Venkatesh and Simran, with music composed by S. A. Rajkumar. It received the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu at National Film Awards 2001. The film won four Nandi Awards by Government of Andhra Pradesh. The film was remade in Hindi as Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein (2002) and in Kannada as Ondagona Baa (2003).

<i>Maavichiguru</i> 1996 Indian film

Maavichiguru is a 1996 Indian Telugu-language drama film written and directed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. The film is produced by P. Usharani under Chandra Kiran Films and presented by Sri Sravanthi Movies. It stars Jagapathi Babu, Aamani, and Ranjitha with music composed by S. V. Krishna Reddy. The film was remade in Malayalam as Kumkumacheppu (1996), in Kannada as Mangalasutra (1997) and in Tamil as Thodarum (1999). The film won three Nandi Awards.

<i>Vamsoddharakudu</i> 2000 Indian film

Vamsoddharakudu (transl. Heir) is a 2000 Telugu-language drama film directed by Sarath. It stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Ramya Krishna, Sakshi Shivanand, Krishnam Raju with music composed by Koti. It was produced by M. S. Reddy under the Gayatri Films banner. The film was not successful at the box office.

The Akkineni–Daggubati family is a prominent Indian film family with a history predominantly in Telugu cinema. Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Daggubati Ramanaidu are the prominent heads of both families. Members of the family include actors, film directors, and producers.

<i>Bangaru Babu</i> (1973 film) 1973 Indian film

Bangaru Babu is a 1973 Indian Telugu-language romance film, produced and directed by V. B. Rajendra Prasad. It stars Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Vanisri, with music composed by K. V. Mahadevan. The film was a box office hit.

<i>Sahasa Samrat</i> 1987 Indian film

Sahasa Samrat is a 1987 Telugu-language action drama film, produced by K. C. Shekar Babu under the Devi Kamal Movies banner and directed by K. Raghavendra Rao. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Vijayashanti and music composed by Chakravarthy. The film was recorded as a flop at the box office.

<i>Dictator</i> (2016 film) 2016 film directed by Sriwass

Dictator is a 2016 Indian Telugu-language action film, jointly produced by Eros International & Sriwass under Vedhaaswa Creations banner and directed by Sriwass. The film stars Nandamuri Balakrishna, Anjali, Sonal Chauhan and Vikramjeet Virk music is composed by S. Thaman.
