The M14 is a short metropolitan route in the Greater Johannesburg metropolitan area, South Africa. [1] The route connects Jeppestown (just east of the Johannesburg CBD) with Primrose in northern Germiston.

Route

The M14 begins at a T-junction with the R29 (Main Reef Road) in the Jeppestown suburb of Johannesburg. [2] :108 The M14 heads east as Jules Street into Malvern. [2] :109 It crosses the M33 (Monmouth Street; 31st Street) before continuing east through Malvern East. [2] :15 It then continues north-east as Geldenhuis Road and meets the M52 (Van Buuren Road) before continuing east-north-east, now as Cydonia Road, to fly over the N3/N12 highway (Eastern Bypass) and enter the city of Germiston, first passing through the suburb of Primrose Hill. [2] :110 It becomes Gorst Avenue, then Churchill Avenue, to pass through Primrose and reach its end at an intersection with the M37 (A.G. de Witt Drive; Shamrock Road). [2] :85

The R29 is a provincial route in South Africa that connects Johannesburg with Leandra and Kinross via Germiston, Boksburg, Benoni and Springs. For much of its route it is named Main Reef Road. The R29 used to end near the Golela border post, however the section from Evander to Ermelo is now part of the N17 and the section from Ermelo to the Golela border post just after Pongola is now part of the N2.

Louis Botha Avenue is a major street in Johannesburg, South Africa. Originally part of the main road between central Johannesburg and Pretoria, it runs along through the north-eastern parts of the city from Hillbrow to Sandton, passing through numerous older suburbs, including Houghton and Orange Grove, before it becomes the Pretoria Main Road (R101) which passes the Alexandra Township and continues to Midrand and Pretoria.

Denver is an industrial suburb in eastern Johannesburg, South Africa, on the railway to Germiston and Hoofrif Road, around 6 km east of City Hall. It borders Benrose to the west, Jeppestown and Malvern to the north, Cleveland to the east, and the François Oberholzer Freeway to the south. There is just a small portion of the suburb in the northwest that has residential zoning; otherwise, Denver consists of industrial land and squatter camps both in the west and up north, the latter largely on Hoofrif Road.
