Mulberry is an unincorporated community in Barrow County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. [1]
A post office called Mulberry was established in 1838, and remained in operation until 1914. [2] The community was named for mulberry trees near the original town site. [3]
On January 8, 2024, Georgia (U.S. state) State House Majority Leader, Chuck Efstration, introduced legislation that would pave the way for the creation of the city of Mulberry located in Gwinnett County. [4] This city would be separate from the already established unincorporated Mulberry located in Barrow County. Efstration’s office worked with KB Advisory Group to develop a feasibility study for prospective cityhood. [4] [5] Mulberry cityhood was approved on May 21, 2024 following a narrow victory in the election held that day.

The county is named for Button Gwinnett, one of the signatories of the Declaration of Independence.

Bethlehem is a town in Barrow County in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 715. The major employer in town is Harrison Poultry, which is the largest non-government employer in Barrow County.
Braselton is a town in Barrow, Gwinnett, Hall, and Jackson counties in the U.S. state of Georgia, approximately 43 miles (69 km) northeast of Atlanta. As of the 2010 census, the town had a population of 7,511, and in 2018 the estimated population was 11,652.
Winder is a city and the county seat of Barrow County, Georgia, United States. It is located east of Atlanta and is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area. The population was 18,338 at the 2020 census.
Mableton is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, United States. Voters of the unincorporated area of Mableton approved a referendum to incorporate on November 8, 2022, and six council members were elected on March 21, 2023, with Michael Owens elected as mayor of Mableton in the 2023 Mableton mayoral election. According to the 2020 census, the census-designated area Mableton had a population of 37,115; the city has more. Upon Brookhaven's cityhood in December 2012, Mableton was previously the largest unincorporated CDP in Metro Atlanta. With boundaries described in Appendix A of House Bill 839, Mableton is the largest city in Cobb County in terms of population and includes historical Mableton, along with the Six Flags area, areas of unincorporated Smyrna, and parts of unincorporated South Cobb.
Tucker is a city located in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States, located near Atlanta and was originally settled in the 1820s, and later developed as a railroad community in 1892. According to the 2016 United States Census Bureau annual estimate of resident population, it has a population of 35,322. In a November 2015 referendum, by a 3:1 margin (73.94%), voters approved incorporating Tucker into a city. In March 2016, Tucker residents elected the city's first mayor and city council.
