Prima Plus is a channel of the FTV Prima group, whose broadcasts are directed to the territory of Slovakia. [1] Prima Plus began broadcasting in Slovakia on 23 January 2017. The program is mainly composed of Prima Television's own creations. The commercial representative of Prima PLUS is JOJ Group. [2] According to the broadcast schedule, the Prima PLUS program consists mainly of programs created by Prima Television, whether they are serials, news programs, entertainment shows, culinary or hobby programs.

In 2017, Prima Plus was available from operators Skylink, Digi SK, UPC SK, and others, making it available to approximately 1.4 million Slovak households with pay TV services. [3]

On 27 May 2024 Prima Plus changes its name to Prima SK.

Slovenská televízia was a state-owned public television organisation in Slovakia. It was created in 1991 as the Slovak part of the former Czechoslovak Television and was headquartered in Bratislava. It was funded from a combination of television licence fees, advertising, and government funding. It ceased to existed on 1 January 2011, when it was merged with the state-owned public radio organisation Slovenský rozhlas to create Rozhlas a televízia Slovenska.

Television stations in Slovakia broadcast in both DVB-T format and DVB-T2 format. Broadcasting is mostly in the Slovak, state-owned channels have some dedicated broadcasting for ethnic minorities. Foreign language movies and shows are dubbed. Czech production is often broadcast in original, with the exception of juvenile programs. Sometimes, foreign language movies are broadcast with Czech dubbing. Czech television channels are also popular in Slovakia, received in paid DVB-T2 service, directly in border regions or carried by cable companies and satellite operators. Most of premium channels like Filmbox, HBO, Viasat Channels, etc. broadcast only in Czech. Discovery, Sport 1, Sport 2 and few others are exception, they broadcast in both Czech and Slovak.

Prima televize is a Czech private television station. Its channel is broadcast from Prague. Its current owner is FTV Prima, spol. s. r. o., which is majority-owned by Czech investment firm GES, in turn owned by Czech oligarch Ivan Zach. The group's current general manager is Marek Singer. It is the first private TV channel in the Czech Republic and the former Czechoslovakia.

X Factor Česko a Slovensko is a Czech and Slovak reality television music competition created by Simon Cowell and produced by FremantleMedia, on TV Prima and TV JOJ. Based on the original UK show, and an addition to the X Factor franchise, the series finds new singing talent, drawn from public auditions, and they compete against each other for votes. The winner is determined by the show's viewers SMS text voting, and is awarded a recording contract, worth €200.000.

<i>Tanec snov</i> Slovak TV series or program

Tanec snov is a Slovak reality television series that premiered on March 8, 2015, on the television channel JOJ. The concept of the series presents nine local celebrities coupled with an equal number of dancers to "dance their dream" in common. Viliam Rozboril and Barbora Rakovská have been hosting the show since, while Eva Máziková, Ján Ďurovčík and Peter Modrovský, these were promoted as the judges for the series opening season. Apart from that, a guest judge will appear per episode too.

Milan Zimnýkoval, known professionally as "Junior", is a Slovak television and radio presenter. He is the son of a soldier and his mother was a primary school teacher. For ten years he has danced in the Slovak folk dance group Zemplín. In June 2012 he married the television producer Antónia Gondová, who took on the married surname Zimnýkoval. They live together in Bratislava and raise their daughter Alexandra.

<i>Slunečná</i> (TV series) Czech TV series

Slunečná is a Czech comedy and relationship television series that premiered on January 11, 2020, on the Prima. The first episode called "Sázka" (Bet) was the most watched program of the day and surpassed the competing Czech TV program Peče celá země. 14 January 2020, it also beat the series Ordinace v růžové zahradě 2. Filming of the series began in August 2019. Slunečná replaced the Krejzovi series in the broadcast. As of February 4, 2020, the sponsorship of the Sunny series is the most expensive of the Prima television programs. According to the available data, as of February 14, 2020, the series has the highest delayed viewership on computers and on TV. In Slovakia, JOJ TV broadcast the series from 25 August 2020 to 4 September 2020 under the name Slnečná. Only 4 episodes were broadcast due to low viewership. On October 22, 2021, Hungarian station ATV began broadcasting the series under the name Napfényes falunk, which can be loosely translated as "Our Sunny Village", with Hungarian dubbing.

Prima Krimi is a FTV Prima channel that launched on 2 April 2018. It is focused on various foreign series and films, such as idsomer Murders, Bones, Castle, NCIS: Los Angeles or American Crime Story. The CEO of FTV Prima, Marek Singr, said that he hopes for a greater thematic diversity of the group's channels from the new channel. The Prima Krimi channel mainly influenced Prima Love, another channel of the group, which began to focus more on women's series and soap operas, with detective stories represented on Prima Krimi.

Prima Show is a Czech television channel, it is the eleventh channel of FTV Prima. The station is mainly focused on non-European reality shows and entertainment programs such as Like House, Královny butiků, Temptation Island, Beauty and the Geek or Wife Swap.

Vytoč mého agenta is a Czech-Slovak comedy drama television series coproduced by FTV Prima and TV JOJ. It is a Czech and Slovak version of French series Call My Agent!. It was initially released on Prima+ and JOJ Play streaming services before being broadcast in television. Many Czech and Slovak celebrities appeared in the series as fictional versions of themselves.
