Church Hill, also known as the St. John's Church Historic District, is an Old and Historic District in Richmond, Virginia. This district encompasses the original land plat of the city of Richmond. Church Hill is the eastern terminus of Broad Street, a major east-west thoroughfare in the Richmond metropolitan area. The name Church Hill is often used to describe both the specific historic district and the larger general area in the East End encompassing other neighborhoods such as Union Hill, Chimborazo, Fairmount, Peter Paul, Woodville, etc.

Originally a trolley car suburb in the years just before the dawn of the 20th century, the Fairmount neighborhood in Church Hill, Richmond, Virginia, is located just north of Union Hill. Much of the neighborhood was developed from the 1890s to the 1920s, and its buildings largely reflect Queen Anne, Italianate, and 1920s bungalow architecture. What is likely the oldest remaining residence, a frame house, probably dates from before 1870. A notable property in the Fairmount neighborhood is the Fairmount School. Annexed from Henrico County in 1906, Fairmount was first incorporated as an independent town on March 10, 1902.
Charles M. Goodman was an American architect who made a name for his modern designs in suburban Washington, D.C., after World War II. While his work has a regional feel, he ignored the colonial revival look so popular in Virginia. Goodman was quoted in the 1968 survey book Architecture in Virginia as saying that he aimed to "get away from straight historical reproduction."
Virginia City Historic District is a National Historic Landmark District encompassing the former mining villages of Virginia City and Gold Hill, both in Storey County, as well as Dayton and Silver City, both to the south in adjacent Lyon County, Nevada, United States. The Common Historic District is a historic district encompassing the civic and institutional heart of Reading, Massachusetts. The district is centered on the town common, at the intersection of Main and Salem Streets. The common has been communally owned since at least 1737, with the original burying ground to the north. In 1769 the area's first meeting house was built, giving the area a sense of identity separate from portions of Reading that would later be set off as Wakefield and North Reading. Since then the area has become a focal point for religious and civic institutions in the town.

Spring Hill Cemetery Historic District is a national historic district located at Charleston, West Virginia, United States. The district is a 172-acre (70 ha) site located on a series of tree shaded and landscaped hills overlooking central Charleston and includes the following cemeteries: Spring Hill Cemetery, Mountain View Cemetery, B'nai Israel Cemetery, Lowenstein Cemetery, and Mount Olivet Cemetery. It is West Virginia's largest cemetery complex. The district features Spring Hill Mausoleum, a stone faced reinforced concrete structure constructed in 1910. Mill Creek Historic District is a national historic district located at Bunker Hill, Berkeley County, West Virginia. It encompasses nine contributing buildings, eight contributing sites, and three contributing objects that relate to an early industrial-commercial center in the county. They include: the Mill Creek Bridge, Henry Sherrard Mill, Robert Daniels House, John Gray House, Henshaw Log House, "Springhill", Henshaw Miller's House, "Springfield", Holliday Mill Sites, Bunker Hill Cumberland Valley Railroad Bridge, Stephenson's Tavern, Morgan Park including two State markers and monument (1924) to Morgan Morgan, Elisha Boyd Mill Sites, Joel Ward Mill ruins, Bunker Hill Mill Complex, and Joel Ward House.

Downtown Huntington Historic District is a national historic district located at Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia. The original district encompassed 59 contributing buildings; the boundary increase added 53 more contributing buildings. It includes the central business district of Huntington, and includes several of its municipal and governmental buildings. It contains the majority of the historic concentration of downtown commercial buildings. Notable buildings include the Huntington City Hall, Johnson Memorial Church (c.1886/1912/1935), Trinity Episcopal Church (1882), Davis Opera House, Love Hardware Building, Reuschleins Jewelry building (1923), the Newcomb Building, the Morrison Building (1919), Keith-Albee Theater (1928), West Virginia Building, and Gideon Building. Located in the district are the separately listed Carnegie Public Library, Cabell County Courthouse, U.S. Post Office and Court House, and Campbell-Hicks House.

Elm Hill, also known as the Campbell-Bloch House, is a historic house and national historic district located near Wheeling, Ohio County, West Virginia. The district includes two contributing buildings and one contributing site. The main house was built about 1850, and is a 2+1⁄2-story, brick house with a low 2-story wing in the Greek Revival style. It has an L-shaped plan, a 3-bay entrance portico, and hipped roof with an octagonal bell-cast central cupola. The interior has a central formal hall plan. Also on the property are a contributing brick, spring house / smoke house and a small cemetery dating to about 1835.
The Virginia Heights Historic District is a national historic district located at Arlington County, Virginia. It is directly west of the Columbia Forest Historic District. It contains 117 contributing buildings in a residential neighborhood in southwestern Arlington. The area was developed between 1946 and 1952, and consists of four small subdivisions of Section Four of Columbia Forest, High Point, Virginia Heights, and Frederick Hill. The dwelling styles include Colonial Revival style houses and Modernist twin dwellings designed by noted local architect Charles M. Goodman. In addition, five single dwellings in Virginia Heights are known to be prefabricated houses, three of which are Lustron houses.
Gospel Hill Historic District is a national historic district located at Staunton, Virginia. The district encompasses 180 contributing buildings in a primarily residential section of Staunton. The district is characterized by an abundance of fine homes, ranging in size from cottages to mansions and dating from 1840 to 1930. The buildings include distinguished examples of a century of architectural styles from Greek Revival to Bungalow. Notable buildings include "Kalorama", "Capote" (1905), Effinger House, and Temple House of Israel (1925). Located in the district are the separately listed Woodrow Wilson Birthplace, Catlett House, Arista Hoge House, J. C. M. Merrillat House, Thomas J. Michie House, Oakdene, and The Oaks.
The Weston Village Historic District encompasses the town center and principal village of Weston, Vermont. Centered on Farrar Park, which serves as the town green, it includes a diversity of architectural styles from the late 18th century to about 1935, and includes residential, civic, commercial, industrial and religious buildings. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
