Sledd is an unincorporated community in southeast Pike County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. [1]

The community is on Missouri Route W two miles south of Paynesville and approximately one-half mile north of the Pike-Lincoln county line. Guinns Creek flows past the north side of the community. [2]

History

A post office called Sledd was established in 1891, and remained in operation until 1901. [3] Alexander Sledd, an early postmaster, gave the community his last name. [4]

Gazette is an unincorporated community in southwest Pike County, in the U.S. state of Missouri. The community is located approximately 6.5 miles west of New Hartford. The Pike-Audrain county line is 1.3 miles to the west along Missouri Route K.

Guinns Creek is a stream in southeastern Pike County of eastern Missouri. It is a tributary of Bryants Creek.
