Vuyiswa Precious Caluza is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature since May 2019. Formerly a local councillor in eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, she is the Deputy Chief Whip of the Majority Party in the legislature.

Political career

Caluza was formerly active in the ANC Youth League. [1] She represented the ANC as a local councillor in eThekwini until the May 2019 general election, [2] when she was elected to a seat in the provincial legislature, ranked 14th on the ANC's provincial party list. [3] At that time, she was also a member of the Regional Executive Committee of the ANC's branch in eThekwini. [4] After being sworn in to the legislature on 22 May 2019, [2] she was appointed Deputy Chief Whip of the Majority Party, the ANC. [1]

Nontembeko Nothemba "Ntobeko" Boyce is a South African politician who has been serving as the Speaker of the KwaZulu-Natal Legislature since 22 May 2019. A member of the African National Congress (ANC), she joined the legislature in May 2014. She served as the deputy chief whip before her appointment as chief whip in 2016. She also formerly served as the chairperson of the legislature's Standing Committee on Oversight.

Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu is a South African lawyer and African National Congress (ANC) politician who has been serving as the KwaZulu-Natal MEC for Health since May 2019. Nhlakanipho Ntombela is a South African politician who has represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature since before 2014. He is also a longstanding member of the Provincial Executive Committee of the KwaZulu-Natal ANC, and in December 2021 he was elected Deputy Regional Chairperson of the ANC's Moses Mabhida branch in Umgungundlovu District.

Bridget Nompumelelo "Mpume" Ntshangase was a South African politician who represented the African National Congress (ANC) in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature from May 2019 until her death in January 2021. Formerly a local councillor in eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, she was Chief Whip of the Majority Party in the provincial legislature at the time of her death.
