Marshall County is a county in the U.S. state of West Virginia. At the 2010 census, the population was 33,107. Its county seat is Moundsville. With its southern border at what would be a continuation of the Mason-Dixon line to the Ohio River, it forms the base of the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia.
Byrd Park, also known as William Byrd Park, is a public park located in Richmond, Virginia, United States, north of the James River and adjacent to Maymont. The 200-acre (0.81 km2) park includes a mile-long trail with exercise stops, monuments, an amphitheatre, and three small lakes: Shields, Swan, and Boat Lake. Boat Lake has a lighted fountain at its center. Visitors can rent pedal boats there in season. The park includes tennis courts, Little League baseball fields, and a children's playground. The historic round house and Poplar Vale Cemetery are also located in the park. It is named after William Byrd II, whose family owned much of the area when Richmond was founded in 1737. The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Memorial Hall, also known as Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Veterans Memorial Hall, is located in Rockford, Illinois. It was built from 1901 to 1903, and originally was dedicated to those who served in the Civil War and the Spanish–American War. It is said to be the first of its kind in the United States. It is located on the west side of Rockford, one block from the Rock River, across the street from the Rockford Public Library, formerly the Carnegie Library. Although it was initially conceived to honor just those from Winnebago County, Illinois who served in the American Civil War, supporters added a listing of county Spanish–American War veterans before building was begun. Other Winnebago County veterans were later memorialized inside and outside the Hall. The Memorial is one of the few veteran's memorials that is not a monument. The building is administered by the Winnebago County Board and was dedicated on June 3, 1903 by President Theodore Roosevelt.
Culpeper National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in the town of Culpeper, in Culpeper County, Virginia. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it encompasses 29.6 acres (120,000 m2) of land, and as 2014, had over 11,000 interments.
Grafton National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery located in Grafton, West Virginia. It encompasses a total of 3.2 acres (1.3 ha). Along with West Virginia National Cemetery, it is one of two United States Department of Veterans Affairs national cemeteries in West Virginia, both of which are located in Grafton. The first interments took place in 1867 for casualties of the American Civil War in West Virginia.

The original Hinton Historic District is bordered roughly by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railroad line, James Street, 5th Avenue, and Roundhouse. The boundary increase extended the district to include Mill Street. It encompasses 212 contributing buildings, one contributing structure, and two contributing objects. They include the business and commercial core of Hinton and surrounding residential areas. The buildings are largely two and three story with first floor commercial activities with offices and apartments above. Many of the buildings feature stone trim and some have cast iron store fronts. Residential buildings are representative of popular late 19th- and early 20th-century architectural styles. Notable buildings include the Wagon Wheel Restaurant (1876), Summers County Library, R.R. Flanagan Building, Lowe Furniture Company Building, former National Bank of Summers building, O. The two oldest are the Federal-style Quinif House (1805) and Gorrell-Wetzel House (1807). Other notable buildings include the Tyler County High School (1907), First National Bank (1902), Smith's Drug Store, Nadene Theater, The Powell-Shore House, the Weekley House, the Huth-Fletcher House (1895), and United Methodist Church and Parsonage (1910). The Black Hawk County Soldiers Memorial Hall, also known as Veterans Memorial Hall, is a Classical Revival veterans hall located at 194 West Fifth Street in downtown Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa. It was built from 1915 to 1916 by the Grand Army of the Republic as a memorial to soldiers who died in the American Civil War. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988 due to its architecture and importance in local history.
Warren County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse complex located at Front Royal, Warren County, Virginia. It was built in 1935–1936, and is a two-story, stone faced concrete block, Colonial Revival style building. It consists of a central rectangular block with a pedimented gable roof and smaller flanking recessed wings. The central block is topped by a three-stage cupola with an open and domed belfry. Also on the property are the contributing brick clerk's office, brick jail, and two war memorials - a Confederate Monument, dedicated in 1911, and an obelisk honoring veterans of World Wars I and II.
