Idaho is a landlocked state in the Mountain West subregion of the United States. It shares a small portion of the Canada–United States border to the north, with the province of British Columbia. It borders Montana and Wyoming to the east, Nevada and Utah to the south, and Washington and Oregon to the west. The state's capital and largest city is Boise. With an area of 83,569 square miles (216,440 km2), Idaho is the 14th largest state by land area. With a population of approximately 1.8 million, it ranks as the 13th least populous and the 7th least densely populated of the 50 U.S. states.
The Idaho Republican Party (IDGOP) is the Idaho state affiliate of the United States Republican Party, headquartered in Boise. It is currently the dominant party in the state, controlling both of Idaho's U.S. House seats, both U.S. Senate seats, the governorship, and has supermajorities in both houses of the state legislature.
The Secretary of State of Wisconsin is a constitutional officer in the executive branch of the government of the U.S. state of Wisconsin, and is second in the line of succession to the office of Governor of Wisconsin. Twenty-nine individuals have held the office of Secretary of State, two of whom have held non-consecutive terms. The incumbent is Sarah Godlewski, who was appointed by Governor Tony Evers on March 17, 2023 to replace long-time Secretary of State Doug La Follette.
The Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) is a historical society located in the U.S. state of Idaho that preserves and promotes the state's cultural heritage.
Paul Mason (1898–1985) was an American writer, parliamentarian, historian, and assistant Secretary of the California State Senate in the first half of the 20th century. Mason wrote the first edition of Mason's Manual of Legislative Procedure in 1935.
Chuck Winder is an American politician and Republican member of the Idaho Senate. He serves as the president pro tempore of the Idaho Senate and previously served as the majority leader. He is married to Dianne Winder; the couple has two children.
James Vito Barbieri II is an American politician and lawyer from Idaho. He is a Republican Idaho State Representative since 2010 representing District 3 in the A seat.
