Atlantic Boulevard, consisting mostly of State Road 814, is a major commercial and commuter highway in northern Broward County, Florida. The 13-mile-long (21 km) divided highway extends from the Sawgrass Expressway in Coral Springs to State Road A1A in Pompano Beach. It serves as the latitudinal baseline for the street grid for the city of Pompano Beach. The portion of the boulevard west of U.S. Route 441 is locally maintained as County Road 814.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Newnansville, Florida</span> United States historic place

Newnansville, Florida was one of the first American settlements in the interior of Florida. It became the second county seat of Alachua County in 1828, and one of the central locations for activity during the Second Seminole War, during which time it was one of the largest cities in the State. In the 1850s, the Florida Railroad bypassed Newnansville, resulting in the county seat being moved to the new town of Gainesville in 1854. Consequently, Newnansville began to decline, and when a second railway bypassed the town in 1884, most of its residents relocated and formed the new City of Alachua. By 1900, Newnansville was deserted.

The University of Florida Campus Historic District is a historic district on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. The district, bounded by West University Avenue, Southwest 13th Street, Stadium Road and Gale Lemerand Drive, encompasses approximately 650 acres (2.6 km2) and contains 11 listed buildings plus contributing properties. The Alachua County Library District (ALCD) is an independent special taxing district and the sole provider of public library service to approximately 280,000 citizens of Alachua County, Florida. This includes all of the incorporated municipalities in the county. It maintains a Headquarters Library and four other branches in Gainesville. There are branch locations in seven of the eight other incorporated municipalities in the county. ACLD also operates a branch at the county jail, and two bookmobiles.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Florida State Road 329</span>

State Road 329 (SR 329) was a short state highway traveling south and north through Gainesville, Florida. It comprised Main Street through Gainesville. The full length of the road extended from SR 331 to County Road 232 (CR 232). In the 1970s, the northern portion of the road, most of North Main Street, became County Road 329 (CR 329) while South Main Street was relinquished by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to the city. A small portion of the former state road in Gainesville is still maintained by the state as a portion of SR 20.

State Road 120 is a state highway in the U.S. state of Florida. Known as North 23rd Avenue, the state highway runs 2.5 miles (4.0 km) from U.S. Route 441 east to SR 24 within Gainesville.

State Road 235 is a south–north state highway in Alachua County, Florida. It runs from U.S. Route 441 in Alachua to Brooker, and has county-maintained segments in Alachua and Bradford Counties, which were once part of SR 235.
