1895 in Argentine football saw Lomas successfully defended its 1894 league title establishing a league record of 3 consecutive season titles. The runner-up was its related team Lomas Academy. [1] This was the last tournament played by Buenos Aires and Rosario Railway before merging with Belgrano Athletic Club. [2]

1It was registered as the football team of the school. The English High School A.C. (named "Alumni" since 1900) would be established in 1898.

1894 in Argentine football saw Lomas A.C. become the first team to retain the Primera División championship. The runner-up was Rosario A.C., which made its debut at the tournament along with Retiro Athletic. Most of the results of the games and the goals scored information have been lost.

1896 in Argentine football saw Lomas's attempt to win its 4th successive Primera División championship, but the title was finally won by Lomas Academy, the other team from the club, which played its last tournament so it would be dissolved. Buenos Aires and Rosario Railway merged with Belgrano Athletic Club, which debuted that season.

1901 in Argentine football saw champion English High School changing its name to "Alumni Athletic Club", due to a regulation from the Association stating that football teams were not allowed to name the same as the Schools they belonged to.

1902 in Argentine football saw Alumni win its 3rd consecutive league championship. Barracas Athletic added to the tournament.

Alexander Watson Hutton was a Scottish teacher and sportsman who is considered "The Father of Argentine football". In 1893 he founded the "Argentine Association Football League". He also founded the Buenos Aires English High School and football club Alumni, which was the most successful Argentine team with 22 titles won until its dissolution in 1911.

Alumni Athletic Club, or simply Alumni, was an Argentine football team active during the first years of the sport in that country. Although officially founded in 1898, the team had been formed in 1893 when a group of students from the Buenos Aires English High School joined Alexander Watson Hutton to form a team in order to participate in the championship organized by the Argentine Association Football League.

Additionally, he was President of the River Plate Rugby Union between 1904 and 1905, and later played cricket for Hertfordshire between 1906 and 1912.
