The 1907 South Australian Football League season was the 31st season of the top-level Australian rules football competition in South Australia and the first season under a new name.
Norwood won their 14 SAFL premiership and a second Championship of Australia against Carlton.

The West Australian Football League (WAFL) is an Australian rules football league based in Perth, Western Australia. The league currently consists of ten teams, which play each other in a 20-round season usually lasting from March to September, with the top five teams playing off in a finals series, culminating in a Grand Final. The league also runs reserves, colts (under-19) and women's competitions.
The 1907 VFL season was the eleventh season of the Victorian Football League (VFL), the highest level senior Australian rules football competition in Victoria. The season featured eight clubs, ran from 27 April until 21 September, and comprised a 17-game home-and-away season followed by a finals series featuring the top four clubs.

He then played for the Richmond Football Club in the VFA in 1907 then in the VFL in 1908. He was senior coach of Richmond in 1907 and 1912.
Ernest Edgar "Ern" Henfry was an Australian rules footballer who played for Perth in the Western Australian National Football League (WANFL) and Carlton in the Victorian Football League (VFL). He later served as coach of Perth, and also coached Western Australia, having previously played at state level for both WA and Victoria. He was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

It was the 12th annual Grand Final of the South Australian Football League, staged to determine the premiers for the 1907 SAFL season. The match, attended by 25,000 spectators, was won by Norwood by a margin of 28 points, marking the clubs fourteenth premiership victory.
