The 1923 Waterford Senior Hurling Championship was the 23rd staging of the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Waterford County Board in 1897.

The Waterford Senior Hurling Championship is an annual hurling competition organised by the Waterford County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1897 for the top hurling teams in the county of Waterford in Ireland.

The Waterford County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Waterford GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for all levels of Gaelic games in County Waterford. The County Board is also responsible for the Waterford inter-county teams. The county board's offices are based at Walsh Park in the city of Waterford. The Waterford County Board was founded in 1886.

The 1897 Waterford Senior Hurling Championship was the inaugural staging of the Waterford Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Waterford County Board.

T. F. Meaghers were the defending champions.

Dungarvan won the championship. [1] This was their fourth championship title overall and their first title since 1920.

Dungarvan GAA is a GAA club based in Dungarvan, County Waterford, Republic of Ireland. The club participates in both hurling and gaelic football. The club currently heads the roll of honour in the Waterford Senior Football Championship with a total of 19 wins.
