Scaniarinken is an indoor sporting arena located in Södertälje, Sweden that was built and then opened on 2 October 1970 as Scaniarinken, with an ice hockey game where Södertälje SK defeated Djurgårdens IF, 5–2 The capacity of the arena is 6,200, but before it was renovated in 2005 it could host much larger numbers, with the record being 11,372 people. It is the home arena of the Södertälje SK ice hockey team and the Axa/Marlboro curling team.

Kvalserien, also known as Kvalserien till SHL, was the Swedish round-robin ice hockey tournament to qualify for play in the next season of the Swedish Hockey League, Sweden's top-level ice hockey league for men. It was replaced by a playoff round in the 2014–15 season.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ronald Pettersson</span> Swedish ice hockey player

Erik Ronald "Sura-Pelle" Pettersson was a Swedish ice hockey player. He played 252 international games for Sweden between 1955 and 1967, including thirteen World Championships and three Olympic Games. Between 1951 and 1967 Pettersson played for Surahammars IF, Södertälje SK and Västra Frölunda IF. He won the Swedish championship twice, in 1956 with Södertälje and in 1965 with Västra Frölunda. He won Guldpucken in 1959–60 as the most valuable player in Swedish Championship playoffs.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Hans Särkijärvi</span> Swedish ice hockey player

Hans Särkijärvi is a Swedish ice hockey coach and former player. Särkijärvi started his playing career in his hometown team Kiruna AIF in 1973. He only played a few games in the senior team before moving to Stockholm-based Djurgårdens IF. The eight seasons he spent in Djurgården included a Swedish championship in 1983. Särkijärvi joined Södertälje SK for the 1983–84 season, where he also won a Swedish championship in 1985. After six seasons in Södertälje Särkijärvi ended his elite playing career and started to play in Sollefteå HK where he only stayed for one season. The last club he played for was IFK Lidingö during the 1990–91 season. He is currently head coach of tier 3 team Visby/Roma HK.

Karl-Erik Lilja is a retired Swedish ice hockey player. Lilja began playing hockey in Hammarby IF's youth organisation but moved to Södertälje SK in 1976 to play in the Swedish Elitserien. After two seasons in Södertälje, he returned to his first club for one season. The team reached the playoff to Elitserien, but lost in the first round against Timrå IK. The following season, Lilja moved to Djurgårdens IF where he would spend the rest of his playing career. In 1983 he won the Swedish championship with Djurgården, and became team captain in 1986. He kept the title until 1988. During his two last seasons in Djurgården, he won two Swedish championships.
