The 1948 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship was the 26th season of the Swedish Ice Hockey Championship, the national championship of Sweden. IK Göta won the championship.

Forshaga Idrottsförening is a Swedish sports club, founded in 1907, and based in Forshaga, Värmland. The club plays both ice hockey and association football. The football club's A-team plays in Division 4 Värmland as of 2013 season. The ice hockey team historically has been more successful, having played 12 seasons in Division 1 when it was the top tier of Swedish ice hockey. IIHF Hall of Fame members Nils Nilsson and Ulf Sterner played for the Forshaga. The hockey club's A-team currently plays in group E of Division 1, the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden.

IK Sturehov is a Swedish football club located in Örebro.

Tranebergs IF was a professional ice hockey team based in Traneberg, Sweden. Founded in 1925, the team played in within the Swedish Divisions 1 and 2 until 1975. The team, whose colours were navy blue, red and white, was a steady competitor in Sweden's highest league from the 1920s to the 1950s, and was a semi-finalist in 1935.

IK Sirius is a Swedish bandy club located in Uppsala, currently playing in Elitserien. IK Sirius were formed in 1907 and play their home games at Studenternas Idrottsplats.

IK Göta is a Swedish sports club, which was very successful in several sports such as Track & Field, Team Handball, Bowling, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey ice hockey, Soccer and Bandy during the 20th century. Most famous and successful sport was Ice Hockey. They won the Swedish ice hockey championship nine times, including the inaugural championship in 1922. The club was also operating bandy teams, both women's and men's, winning the Swedish Men's championship in bandy once, in 1927. In women's bandy they were far more successful winning eight (8) times, last time in 1984.

Surahammars IF is a sports club in Surahammar, Sweden. The club was officially founded on 4 June 1914, although the activity started in 1911. The focus now of the club is ice hockey, although they have had the highest success with association football and bandy. The ice hockey section now plays in the third highest division in Sweden, but has previously played in the first division.

Karlbergs BK is a Swedish football club located in Karlberg in Birkastaden, an area in the southwestern part of Vasastan in central Stockholm.

Allmänna Idrottsklubben Ishockeyförening, is the ice hockey department of sports club Allmänna Idrottsklubben based in Stockholm, Sweden. Starting in the 2014–15 season, AIK's men's team will play in HockeyAllsvenskan, the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden, following a four-year spell in the top flight, the SHL. The women's team competes in Riksserien, the highest division of women's ice hockey. AIK's home games are mainly played at Hovet, which seats 8,050 spectators, though some high-profile games may be played at the Ericsson Globe which has a larger capacity of 13,850.

UoIF Matteuspojkarna is a sports club in Stockholm, Sweden.

Södertälje Sportklubb, also known as Södertälje SK and often referred to as SSK, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club playing in HockeyAllsvenskan, the second highest level of pro hockey in Sweden. Södertälje were charter members of Elitserien when the league was founded in 1975 and have since played 24 seasons in the league. Södertälje SK's fan club is known as the "SSK Support".
