The 1946 Swedish Ice Hockey Championship was the 24th season of the Swedish Ice Hockey Championship, the national championship of Sweden. AIK won the championship.

Leksands IF sports club in Leksand, Sweden

Leksands Idrottsförening is a Swedish ice hockey team from the town of Leksand in the region of Dalarna. After being relegated following the 2016–17 season, the team plays in the second highest league in Sweden, Hockeyallsvenskan. The club's home arena is Tegera Arena, which seats 7,650 spectators.

Mora IK is a Swedish professional ice hockey club from Mora in northern Dalarna. They currently play in the SHL, the top flight of ice hockey in Sweden. Mora has previously played 25 seasons in the top tier, including four seasons in Elitserien, as the SHL was called at the time). The team has reached the finals of the Swedish Championships only once, in 1950, a match which they lost 7–2 to Djurgårdens IF. Mora has played in the top two tiers of Swedish hockey since the 1944–45 season.

Södertälje Sportklubb, also known as Södertälje SK and often referred to as SSK, is a Swedish professional ice hockey club playing in HockeyAllsvenskan, the second highest level of pro hockey in Sweden. Södertälje were charter members of Elitserien when the league was founded in 1975 and have since played 24 seasons in the league. Södertälje SK's fan club is known as the "SSK Support".

Forshaga Idrottsförening is a Swedish sports club, founded in 1907, and based in Forshaga, Värmland. The club plays both ice hockey and association football. The football club's A-team plays in Division 4 Värmland as of 2013 season. The ice hockey team historically has been more successful, having played 12 seasons in Division 1 when it was the top tier of Swedish ice hockey. IIHF Hall of Fame members Nils Nilsson and Ulf Sterner played for the Forshaga. The hockey club's A-team currently plays in group E of Division 1, the third tier of ice hockey in Sweden.

Skuru IK is a sports club in Skuru in Nacka, Sweden, established on 22 October 1922. The club runs basketball, gymnastics, handball and swimming activity, previously even bowling and ice hockey. The club began to play handball in 1950 and the women's handball team won the Swedish national indoor championship titles in 2001, 2004 and 2005.

Tranebergs IF was a professional ice hockey team based in Traneberg, Sweden. Founded in 1925, the team played in within the Swedish Divisions 1 and 2 until 1975. The team, whose colours were navy blue, red and white, was a steady competitor in Sweden's highest league from the 1920s to the 1950s, and was a semi-finalist in 1935.

IK Göta is a Swedish sports club, which was very successful in several sports such as Track & Field, Team Handball, Bowling, Field Hockey, Ice Hockey ice hockey, Soccer and Bandy during the 20th century. Most famous and successful sport was Ice Hockey. They won the Swedish ice hockey championship nine times, including the inaugural championship in 1922. The club was also operating bandy teams, both women's and men's, winning the Swedish Men's championship in bandy once, in 1927. In women's bandy they were far more successful winning eight (8) times, last time in 1984.
