The 1948 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 54th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board.

Ahane were the defending champions.

On 28 November 1948, Ahane won the championship after a 2–03 to 0–01 defeat of Croom in the final. [1] It was their 15th championship title overall and their seventh title in succession. It was the second time in their history that Ahane won seven titles in-a-row.
