LVN Pictures, Inc. is a Filipino film studio that was considered as one of the biggest in the history of Philippine cinema and its foremost establishment in motion picture post-production until 2005. Rosario Violeta Solís Hernández, better known as Charito Solís, was a FAMAS and Gawad Urian Award-winning Filipino film actress, in addition to being the first Philippine woman who have bared her chest in recorded film.

Anita Linda Filipino actress

Alice Bueñaflor Lake, better known by her stage name Anita Linda, was a Filipino film actress. A romantic lead in her youth, she later gained critical acclaim for her portrayals in maternal or elderly roles. At the age of 74, she became the oldest actress to ever win a FAMAS Award, when she was named Best Supporting Actress for Ang Babae sa Bubungang Lata.

The FAMAS Award for Best Picture is one of the FAMAS Awards, awards given to people working in the motion picture industry by the Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Award, which are voted on by Palanca Award-winning writers and movie columnists, writers and people in the film industry. The Best Picture FAMAS has always been considered the most important and top prize, and has been awarded by Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences ever since the very first ceremony in 1953.

The Maria Clara Awards is the first formal film industry award-giving body of the Philippines. It was established in 1950 by a group of writers from the Manila Times Publishing, Co., which included National Artist Dr. Alejandro Roces, regarded as the Father of the Maria Clara Awards. It was the initial answer of the Philippines to Hollywood's Academy Awards, an institution for recognizing talents in the Filipino movie industry.

Gloria Romero is a Filipino actress appearing in film and television. Her career spans 60 years and includes award-winning performances in the films Tanging Yaman, Nagbabagang Luha and 1955's Dalagang Ilocana. She is the first recipient of the lifetime achievement award from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).

The 2nd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held in 1954 in Life Theater, Quezon Boulevard, Quiapo, Manila. Huk Sa Bagong Pamumuhay, produced by Narcisa de Leon and distributed by LVN Pictures, is the recipient of FAMAS Award for Best Picture.

The 4th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held on MARCH 17, 1956 for the Outstanding Achievements in 1955 at Fiesta Pavilion in Manila Hotel.

The 5th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held inn 1957 for the Outstanding Achievements for 1956 at Fiesta Pavilion in Manila Hotel.

The 6th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held on March 15, 1958, at Fiesta Pavilion of the historical Manila Hotel. This is for the Outstanding Achievements in films for the year 1957.

The 8th Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences Awards Night was held on March 5, 1960, for the Outstanding Achievements for the year 1959.

Perla Marcial Bautista is a multi-awarded actress in the Philippines. She acted in more than 250 movies and television shows. She won the Best Actress FAMAS Award for Markang Rehas (1962). She also won Gawad Urian Award for Best Supporting Actress in Anak Ng Cabron (1988).
